Nope, just did a fresh restore as it said on the page you linked me to that it works after a restore on Windows 7. I will try updating and post when it's finished.

Powerups not working. tried Alpha 1.8, Beta 1.7 versions.. it worked for me just for first launch of the game and then everything messed up. How i should fix? any tips? thanks.

Guys i have a problem to solve!

I have two servers directory on my desktop (one v1.7.2 and the second 1.7.5 both Berkays server).
In the first one i have done many works (bought cars, made vinyls etc., so a lot of works).
So i created a backup of my driver progress in this directory server (called personas, where to put a backup of progress).

If i copy paste the backup (getpersona and carslot backuped from the first server 1.7 or 1.7.2) to an updated server 1.7.5 and do import from server editor, i see all my work gone/reset when i'm in-game...

Another question is: if i save from server editor my progress, why the files size are the same of original backuped driver that i made before the shutdown of nfsw servers. Why those files (getpersonainfo and carslot) don't increase the size when you save from server editor?

How to create a backup where you import from new server and you will not loose progress from the old server/backup?

Got the following problem...

I have tried to hex edit a track file (a single text string, actually). After saving it, I start the v1.6 server launcher and as the game loads... nfsw.exe has stopped working. Just before loading Quicktime/EA movie.

Next thing: I try to load beforehand different drivers, same problem. Then I realize I could try an older server... so I load the game with this new server... and it works!

Even stranger is that, if I install in another folder a fresh v1.6, the problem above appears again. But if I load the game again with the older server - game still working!

How could this happen?

mmm... the info you post here is more than interesting to me, i see many coincidences here, you have the problem on your Laptop that has the half of the ram of your desktop, and your garage has more than 100 cars


in my case my problematic driver (F4STB4ST4RD) has 104 Cars

Desktop (cannot handle the driver):
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 2.4 GHz
RAM: 3Gb
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 5670 1 GB

Laptop (load F4ST just fine):
CPU: Intel® Core™ i3 2367M
RAM: 8Gb
GPU: Intel HD Graphics 3000

and INNZUMNIAK (38 cars) can run in both machines

if you see, your laptop is waaay better than mine, but mine has more ram, and guess what, i can run your persona in my laptop.

I think this is a server bug that cannot handle large carslot files with a machine with 4Gb ram or less, maybe i'm wrong, but i really want that berkay could see these posts and tell us if i'm wrong or not. and if there's a solution or workaround for this.

I have updated my Windows 7 SP1 with all updates via Windows Update and I am still getting the same error.

It says "connecting to XXMP host" or similar to that over and over but it never actually connects and starts the server.

I have installed Phython in the correct place and I have the 7.0.1 version of mitmproxy. How exactly would I go about installing ez_setup.py? I have been googling it and finding a download link but is there another way? Any advice is greatly appreciated

The getpersonainfo and car file do not update your ingame progress, you import them in and might as well delete them, as they are no longer needed, unless you wish to start over again, with said persona files.

In the server editor, click the www folder/then the NSFW folder/ then the engine.svc folder and in there, you will see a DriverPersona folder as well as a personas folder.
Those two are what you put into the next server editor beta update, and all your work will remain, if you import the getpersonainfo and car file, it will just start you over from where it was when you last played online and made the backup.

So, in short, the DriverPersona folder as well as a personas folder is what you save and import into a different server editor and all your progress will transfer over.
You can also make copies of them and save elsewhere, and readd them in to your server editor incase you accidentally do something to one of your cars that later on, you wish you would not have.

Now, things like using all the shared Mods, such as my edit of the basket folder to give all the cars in the dealership 6 skill slots instead of the default five slots, you will have to readd that into the next server editor that Berkay releases.
However, Berkay may include all the shared Mods in the next update.
But if not, you will have to manually add them back in, there are lots of them in this one thread.

If you wish, here is my Basket Folder, that has all the cars possible, and they all have 6 skill slots instead of 5.
Read the readme file, to know how to add it in.
It will not ruin your progress, as it just updates the dealership.
You basically remove your basket folder and then put mine in.
As well as replacing 3 files in the catalog folder.

Remember to always right click files you have downloaded, then click properties, to insure windows has not blocked them, if so, click unblock, apply, then click ok.

Also, if you have not added in the huge amount of shared goodies, I will upload my Server Editor for you, and all you have to do is add in your DriverPersona folder as well as your personas folder and it will have your progress.
You do that before attempting to start the Server Editor.

Plus, always make a copy of your Server Editor folder, and save it somewhere, so incase you mess something up, you have a complete backup.

Interesting observation, have you tried my driver on your desktop to see if this checks out? Because your driver works on my laptop.

I downloaded All Cars in Car Dealer to have 6 skill slots. I will test it soon..

But for vinyls, if i want to be sure for a backup (to export vinyls i made in a new account as one car carslot to begin from zero but not the vinyls), can i use (vinylhub or NFS World -Vinyl Artist of Farming INC) to make a svs file? I read for those two that are outdated but i don't know if works with offline server of Berkay..

I lost yesterday all my progress cuz of corrupt carslot.. I bought a drag version of mitsu lancer evo X and when i choose to make a ride in free-roam then i found a rx-8 merged with the same vinyl of lancer evo X and then nfsw offline stopped working. So i can't log-in now cuz i have error from nfsw (stop working if i click on enter world).

Now i'm testing ONE CAR (CARSLOT file) but there are still bugs (the same of my corrupted carslot): one is when i bought a s15 silvia speedhunters edition class E (one car carslot have also a black s15 silvia class e) and sold the black s15, when i went in free-roam the red s15 speedhunter was a black s15 (merged into this one) sold before...

Other bug is car class stats, after i bought speedhunters s15 shows me E class 603OA (same as if i upgrade a car performance from D class 399 to C class 499OA it shows me 499OA D class, or when i downgrade perfomance from 599OA b class to 499OA C class it shows me 499OA B class).

Other problem was with nos powerups, doesn't work properrly (seems broken) when you start first time nfsw with new server version ex.: 1.7 Beta, 1.7.2 Beta, 1.7.5 Beta (only the first time), but other powerups as jugger, ready etc works fine. So i restarded server and nos worked!

I know of no current beta other than Beta 1.7...where exactly did you obtain said 1.7.2, 1.7.5?, since it is not an update in Berkays Server Editor thread, you must have obtained them elsewhere and I suggest you get rid of them.

I also suggest that to save you the trouble, download my Server Editor, which is Berkays creation, however I have added in all the goodies, saving you from completely starting over.
Forget using tools that are outdated for vinyls.
Mine has all the vinyls included and no need for tools, just use the game as normal.
Forget about your persona folders as they seem to be corrupt.
Import your ORIGINAL getpersonainfo and car file into the server editor, there is no need to actually copy them into the server editor folder itself, once you import them in, via the server editor method buttons, you are done, those files do not update your progress and are no longer needed.
But from the sounds of it, you have corrupted them.
If you have original copies of them, then you can us them, if not, importing corrupt files, will not solve your issues, no matter how many times you try to start over with them.

My Server Editor has a read me, which contains a link to all kinds of persona saved files.
Just pick one, import it in, via the Server Editor button method and all your problems are gone.
That is if you do not have copies of your original getpersonainfo and car file, if it is the same ones you keep trying to start over with, with a corrupt carslot file, you will never fix your problems.

Plus, my read me explains how to add the 6th skill slot to the new persona you pick to import in, before even importing it in.
I suggest you not even import a new persona, just start my copy of the Server Editor,change the name, and begin to buy cars and start fresh.
If you do wish to import a persona, my read me explains how to add the 6th skill slot to that profile of cars, before even importing them in.

And again, after importing a persona in, forget all about those files.
Your personas and Driverpersona folders are the only thing you need to copy over to the next server editor update to transfer over your progress
The getpersonainfo and car file do nothing and importing them back in will only start you over from where they was in the first place and your personas and Driverpersona folders will revert and all your progress will be lost.

Import the getpersonainfo and car file in, and forget they even exist, your personas and Driverpersona folders are the only thing you need to make copies of to save your progress.

You will have the rar files of the getpersonainfo and car file, to extract, if needed to start over again.

Yes I have repeated myself several times, in hopes you understand exactly what you seem to be doing wrong.

Your profile work fine! "out of memory error" is java problem...
