[Release] shStudio 0.7.5

10/20/2014 02:20 Truth1010#121
If you deleted some models in the ITM then the model 'index' for those models will of course shift up 1, or more places depending on how many entries were deleted. Where as the model ID for each item in your Item.Sdata will of course stay at whatever ID it's been set as.

No bug, just common sense.

so common ... however it was again [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...], you read and approved (thank'ed) it.

Why don't you use the Data Tool for that? We can't pretend castor make us a '1 button server ready' tool. This tool is for making things faster.
The more easy options, the less ppl takes time to see 'how things work'.

For sure there is other release of datatools performed for that kinda of work...

Just one Up for adding "the Tree of Bag" in item.sdata *_* (actually i use the previous version for that) =))

Regards,

I have a lest question : How can i create my own .smod file ? Is possible to make its with blender or maya ? I have realy bad internet connexion so i prefer ask before download a software.

the creation of a 3D model requires a 3D modeler ... may be the fora of the listed softwares can provide answers, or ePvP readers may have some knowlegde of these tools, but it's definitively not a shStudio-question, meaning it doesn't and won't create 3DC or SMOD from trash.

As Castor already mentioned, you wont be able to accomplish this with ShStudio.. It's more of a management program than a design program.
You might however want to send Sominus a nice PM as he seems pretty knowledgeable on those things concerning model creation. He may be able to point you to some tools to try out. All i can suggest is 3DS Max. But i don't use this program myself enough to know what it is capable of.

Okey, thank you, I will try it. I thought SMOD files was encrypted and shaiya-only files but when I see ShStudio able to open it, I think I was wrong.
But hey, my knowledge of 3D are very weak

smod files are 3D objects, sometimes single objects, sometimes composed of many 3d meshes (and mapping and texture info I guess). I have no idea what tool they use to make them.

But SStudio and 3DOC can open them. So the file format is known. Based on that, someone could make a MaxScript to export them back to shaiya I think. I'm not good at all at 3D maths.

New bugs found :(

- the Save As process may crash with 0xC0000005 reason (null pointer) (applies on some DBSData files)
- the format of the NpcSkill.sdata file can not be chosen with Save As dialog.
(attached below is the latest EU file with FR captions, as requested by Falium).

Thank you so much !!! You are awesome it's perfectly what I wanted.

But, I have an other problem (maybe bug?), with smod inserting :

Yesterday I have tried to insert some smod on my 42.wld file, but it didn't work, they not display in game, so i tried on 35.wld and it worked

And so today, I have tried an other method to get around the problem, I replaced out_streelight.SMOD by D_Chair_03.SMOD (It's a D_Chair_01.SMOD with an other texture)
and R1_Trade_sundries03.SMOD by L_A1_streetVendors01.SMOD
But in Game, I have only one chair instead six.
It's very strange ...
Adding new smod without replacing, and new add coordinates seem impossible on this map

I will try tonight to add my six chairs on apulune

the "t" parameter (possibly rot.z) is null for all records but the first, you should try with not null value.

the first 3 params are - a priori - finely named; they are X, Y & Z coordinates.
the meaning of the next 6 values is given w/o any warranty; they should be part of a "TRS" matrix (translation, rotation, scaling) usually defined by a 4x4 matrix; which of these 16 values are exactly present in the 6 params is unknown.
it just requires some tests and retests to figure it out, you're welcome to provide feedback on that point.

edit: i've checked all "t" of all shape/smod of 0.wld and there is not a single record with t==0
the rotation can, indeed, be managed with 2 angles only, the t parameter is so very likely a scaling factor.
10/25/2014 20:02 Tryne01#135
Yes, you are right, "t" value must be =/= to 0 for displaying the .smod.

As you can see, now I have my six chairs, my AH become a real tavern with your tool !

EDIT : I failed and i took my old account again sorry :(

EDIT2 : .dg seem can not be edited, is it normal ? Inser. key doesn't work and there is no "Create item" in Edit menu.
