hello and greetings i want to start a new P-Server, opened 2 before and want to Create one with no mistakes and problems .

- what i will do is pay for the VPS Monthly.

- will pay for who will ADD my SQL+PHP+ Designe 1,000 LE Monthly.

• Requirements: You must be good at GFX(Graphics), you'll have to create a lot of graphic stuff (Logo, launcher, loading screens, etc(all sro related stuff) and some covers for facebook and advertisement) for the server etc. I prefer modern/flat designs mostly, not a fan of copying so if you're going to depend on copying then u shouldn't apply..

A programming hobbyist and a SRO addict. I have been working with SQL/C++/C# for a while now.

-Exploit Protection filter :
My filter, aka Torque has proven a resilience and high stability against ALL exploits specially if combined with a Hyperfilter proxy. It can handle up to 1024 players without any slight delay/lags.
The filter can also do some amazing things. For example:
*Welcome notice when logging into the game.
*Stall/Exchange delay limit, to help against exchange bugs.
*Alchemy plus limit ( This is a REAL alchemy limit, where it will not fuse the item, instead it will give the user an error message of "Fusing was cancelled").
*Region-Protection:
You can protect a certain region(s) from any player actions there. For example : You can restrict an event area from players who PK others, showing a message "You can't PK in this area". Or you can stop traders from dropping goods in safe zones, showing a message "You can't dismiss a trade pet in this area".
*Disable Auto Arena Register Programs : This feature will prevent AFK players from participating in the battle arena to farm and ruin it for everyone.
*HWID Limit (PC Limit) : That's right. I managed to implement that feature successfully. Basically, it allows only certain number of characters logged in from a single PC (This will replace the pseudo-IP, since it can be bypassed by any proxy. But with HWID Limit, even proxies won't work.
*Chat logging : You can save all kinds of chat into your database ( ALL/PM/GLOBAL/GUILD/UNION ).
*The filter is pretty flexible, you can request as many features are you wish. Pretty much everything is possible with it.

Hey y'all,

I've been on and off SRO for the past eight years now.

About me
I'm a mechanical engineering student and a recovered addict; life for me is mostly tasks that I am forced to do with no interest whatsoever. So, like many people each with a reason or another, I find mmorpg's to be a fantastic way to reach out into a different realm and live adventures as you would in a dream or fantasy.

Thinking back now I feel both deceived and shocked that I played SRO through Joymax's' servers. I remember stealing about a thousand bucks total from my parents at the age of 14 to buy 'silk' and 'gold'. I also remember spending twice as much in a couple of weeks when I was using!
I'm sure that I'm not the only person with such embarrassing figures, I don't even remember my login information for many a private server in which I 'invested' my money.



So the logical question posed here is WHAT THE HECK?
Well almost everyone wants to be number one, the strongest or the first. This concept is clearly implemented very deeply in games, especially mmorpg's. This is not something theoretical or speculative, I've been attending the course 'economics for engineers' for the past month now and one concept seems to be very clear : every organisation seeks maximizing its profit(whether it's a weaponry factory, pharmaceutical research center or a gaming company). This may seem clear and obvious to many but it's controlling our world, and therefore our daily lives.

To summarize I believe that a self progressive entity can only go forth when 'finances' play no rule in the development, but rather actual raw resources: I consider motivation to be the most important resource of which.



So what's the way to go? Why a private server?
Consider adapting an aquarium just because you are fascinated with water life. You will need money, employees and an involved community to sustain and further develop your little piece of heaven.
Metaphorically saying: once the main goal of your aquarium becomes money then your game/server/business is no more honest and therefore best avoided by true enthusiasts, or in our case SRO lovers.



So what the hell do you want? What's the big idea?
A monthly fee (1~10$) to filter out 'customers' and actually draw true enthusiasts; people who feel simply weird playing other mmorpg's and wish for a true silkroad, tailored to their dreams.



Proposed Features:

• Level 80 cap
• 0.5 or less EXP rate
• Silk may ONLY buy you outfits/avatars

So what makes you think you're the guy for the job?
Well I am not the guy for the job, this is the core principal : it will be a community run server for the one and only reason the server would be maintained is fun!
My university offers a free server/domain for every student, I would love to find a bunch of people interested in recreating a childhood dream and possibly evolve through the latter stages of the game.



Where does the money go? Who are you looking for?
First : Nothing is for free, if you're investing time to develop so you earn accordingly.

Second : Noways every 12 year old is in theory capable of hosting a private server, 3D modeling his own characters and exploring every possibility to get payed some more.
I don't care how old you are, what color your skin happens to be or what you do in life, if you truly think you're talented and willing to spend time creating a better environment to practice your hobby NOT for the sake of money then you match the criteria!
