There was a "mistake" on the guide that many had problems with.

I removed this from the guide. The "crest" folder in the "Files" folder was empty or in the latest archive, the folder wasn't there at all. You just had to skip this step, it is not important at all.

I have the same Client problem. I actually downloaded a clean client . And also tried some other clients from the private servers.

It says the client is mismatching. it is v 1.118 . I use etc/hosts file to reroute the client (checked their real connection parameters) So I dont even use the IP changing in division.txt to be sure I am not corrupting media file. (well I tried once with xvi and it failed so I stayed away from it and restored my media backup)

Can anybody send us a link with a working client with these data files if possible?

Greatly appreciated.

Hi ppl,
As you might be aware the agentserver.exe all over the net is infected with a notorious virus which is causing stability and security issues. The results of this infection is severe as it opens backdoor for infiltration (the reason for many database drops and accessing control over your server)
We have discussed this within another thread and I d like to have your attention on the topic

If you think your environment has been infected please use an Antivirus program to get rid of infection. (Do you see if your db is cleaned or smc are controlled , modified, etc?)

People who have been using Windows Servers may need to know the options are limited. I suggest Hitman Pro for checks and clean ups and Microsoft Security essentials(it works) for server OSes.
I used Avast for the client OS (Win 7 8 vista xp etc.)

I had to mention about this here as it is not a false positive what you will see after you download "Server files without data" . It is Agentserver.exe which is infected and until you execute it , you are safe.)

Please also check any html files to see if they had any VBS script. It is a variant rootkit and it is using html pages to spread itself. In its content you can see reference to svchost.exe with identifiers.

So, lets start with the MSSQL setup:

Now, MSSQL Server Management Studio Express:

Now lets create the databases and restore them:

Now lets set the ODBC(I added in the "Files" archive some register entries, you can use them but I will show you how to setup them manually):

The databases already have all the fixes they need.

Now we'll create the GM account and set the privileged IP !
First we will start with GM account:
Now the privileged IP:

In order to start the server properly (with one GameServer) you'll have to close Alexandria map. How you do that? Pretty simple.

Go to -> SRO_VT_SHARD_INIT -> Search for "_RefRegionBindAssocServer" and Open it.

So, lets make it simple: 1= Open/ 0=Close.
That means you'll have to set "0" to:



Now IIS and FTP server.

We'll start with IIS setup and configuration.

FTP server:


Now, lets begin with the server files setup.

Extract all the archives in one folder, as you wish. Keep them somewhere you can find them very fast.

We will start with Certification:


Now, take the server.cfg that I gave you in the "Files" archive and overwrite it on your server files folder.
Open it and modify as I'll show you:

You can start the server now.

Do it in this way:

1. Certification
2. Global Manager
3. Machine Manager
4. SMC (Use the account that you created earlier in the Database)
5. GatewayServer
6. DownloadServer
7. FarmManager
8. AgentServer
9. SR_ShardManager
10. SR_GameServer

Because you used "no Xtrap patch" you'll be able to start the client with edx loader. The port is "15779"

Also, for those that are behind a router, you may need this :

I'll fix the errors in the guide, so if you see one, tell me. Also, if you have any problems, post here and don't make any other threads about those problems.

As I said, if you setup the server following the guide step by step, you won't get any errors.
