made a few searches, couldn't find an answer.

Is there a way to stop the "beeps" when a miner drops an ore?

CO2m8 Version 2.28(BETA2)
Is now available for game clients 5125 to 5219

Thanks for the feedback everyone, I'm still trying to get to the bottom of these problems.
The work will go faster if people test the beta versions and give me feedback.
So lets look at each of the problems in detail.

ACCOUNT PROBLEMS
Yes 2.27 had issues because it was assuming ldf files actually reflected true char and server names in the format(CHAR_SRV.ldf)
Although they don't actually need to it does help you stay inline with future expansion of M8, for example some of the new features like INFO(historical data information, like lv and stuff) require the the ldf and csf files have the same name(which is true names).
I understand some of you are using misaligned ldf files so you can control the sort order of the pick list and to aid you with that I have added the feature to include tag names in the list, characters with tag names will sort to the top of the list.
You can now edit the char TAG's without having to log them in use the edit/save button in the L menu for this...NOTE this will only work if your ldf has the TRUE server and client names.
Additionally to get around blank servers and servers with lengths of less than 3 chars there's now a server category called ~OTHERS~
The "NEW_#" accounts will also appear in ~OTHERS~ now Rorrim

PASSWORDS
Most of my characters have numbers in the passwords and they all work for me, I use Speed of 0 and a Delay B4 of 3, increase the Speed and delay for slower or busy machines.
Note the game message that says "Failed to connect to the server." is not a password problem that just means the server is busy so manually hit the ENTER button in game, larger delays alleviate that message.
Furthermore I noticed that on a fresh installed XP with only sp2 I had password problems,
I'm still figuring out whats going on there but suspect it has to do with the version of the flash runtimes, so that's another area that could be causing people problems.

NotLoggedIn
Well could be a bunch of stuff but if your using the current English version(5219) and the 5212
table it should work if it doesn't it could well be a security issue as MS are still adding nasty bits in their updates, usually running M8 as admin(even if your already logged in as admin) fixes that.
Running M8 in XP compatibility mode on Vista and Win7 is a good idea too.

FREEZING
Yes there are times when keyboard and mouse interaction from the user is disallowed.
This is to ensure the cursor is and stays where it should be during those crucial bits,
when its done the user regains control.
If for some weird reason it doesn't come back do a control-alt-delete to regain full control.

PS Let me know if I missed a problem that someone brought up....
Also I noticed that auto-reconnect is now broken in 2.28, will fix it for 2.29.

Yes, tick DropSay in mineopts and then tick for OFF in voice alerts.

oo thanks, cause with all the accounts I accidentally acquired I often set up dummy logins for if I need them for my new server ^_^
Oh yes, much better, and I realize now why there was 1,2, ect because it thought that was the server name. looks really really good so far :) Thanks for all your work =D

I've been trying to start m8 up for the first time and I keep getting this flash.ocx error. Tried reinstalling Flash and VB6 Runtimes with no luck yet. Any advice?[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

Your using version 2.20 that's old, use 2.28.

Are you running 2.29 of m8 and the new 5221 game client?
If your still running the old 5220 game client manually set table to 5212 in L menu(then restart m8 if client are already in).

Did you replace all the files in your M8 directory with the ones from the rar?
Confirm it says 5221 in the L menu mem table.
If it still doesn't work try putting the new m8 archive in a new directory to test it.

Anyone else having this problem?

That was weird. I tried installing 2.29 the exact same way again and it's working now. Not sure what went wrong but thanks again! :D

Here's a suggestion. I noticed that m8 cloes out all the clients on a server maint, and I'm cool with that, however, one client I would like to keep open, due to experimenting with a clean bot. Is it possible to include a stop client exit on dc with that client via the S menu? thanks for reading
