What happened exactly?

As everyone knows these servers are super exploitable. Some turk kiddos decided to exploit this one and put it to sleep, never to wake again.

Well for some people, origin is overedited at some point.
People liked this server because it was simply ''classic'', with little to no changes.
Everyone is equal, no donations, no bots. It was to be expected that exploits like this would appear since the gm didn't bother to fix them.
A side project like this, paid from it's own pocket is rare, you won't find an opportunity like this, someone who has this passion to do such a thing is a respectable person in my eyes.

As above mentioned it's a side project and nothing serious. Fixing the exploits over time when he has the time for it but advertising the game was unexpected.
I hope we can once again play the 60 cap server with mature people only, i'm looking forward to it.

The serious project is his 110cap server after all :p (3 years... <3)

Origin is overedited and far from the classic. The custom wings, effects and all that make me puke.

I'm not gonna get into that here but Origin isn't overedited.

The custom wings are just like gdf.. and barely anyone has them cause they're useless and expensive af..

What are the "effects and all that"? Because i'm not into overedited servers, been playing since 60 cap, and can't see what you mean on Origin.

Anyways, this server was cool and i'd love to have a proper server like this around, but the sad thing is these clients can be overran super easily, it's a bad time investment.

Well I think the target public, despite being close (non-bot users), are a bit different actually.

Origin is designed to be an improved and more updated version of the old times, with remade quests and a bit higher exp/sp rate.

But it differs a lot from the hard oldschool experience where you must make quests even at low levels...

Also, it has the euros, which by itself already make the game a lot different.

Also on this NGE, as the cap is low and there aren't party mobs, taxing is a bit worthless, which make people grind and make quests instead. That's something I missed on the low level at Origin. You don't see people grinding and doing quests, everybody just goes directly to Ong or Penon taxis.

It was one of the best servers that I ever played on and really enjoyed every single moment.

Not gonna get into that discussion here because it seems like i'm advertising for one server in another server's thread and i won't do that.

Anyways, you're stating differences and other things i never claimed or talked about, that is no answer and has nothing to do with what i said. My remark was about it being an overedited server.

But something must be said, you're really wrong about leveling on Origin and i can prove that with screenshots. You have low level grinding parties for pretty much any level range 16-90, you have powerleveling parties as well but you can find yourself a regular party too.

Origin is a great server and proof is being a no-botting very active despite it being 2 years old, the only HUGE downside is the GM is a huge tool and runs the server like a dictatorship. You can barely post anything on their forums and suggestions are ignored. Origin has the potential to become a great server gameplay wise, only the admin standing in the way. Oh well, nothing is perfect i guess.

It s strange cuz GM close the server just because of a bug abuser.
I believe the sro_client was infected with some backdoor keyloggers, so check your PCs/Laptops.
