I get an error when I open either of those files that the rar is corrupted.

Every time I have heard someone say that. It is because they are trying to open a new winrar file with a old version of winrar. What version is your winrar?

works fine for me, please make sure your winrar is up to date. oh and also make sure its 100% downloaded, sometimes downloading and you have a hiccup in your internet connection can corrupt your downloaded file.
