[V19] Shadow FlyFF - 3 Cluster Server | Player Driven Server [NEW]

Tons of updates in this weeks patch. Including the v20 dungeon, with some editions including new jewelry sets, re-join and much more.

Also added new HUD option, New teleport points to the teleporter, Increased pickup pet range, monster changes and many more.

I don’t understand why the player base is so low. This server got almost every system there is plus extra. There is balance in donations and non-donations. It got so much potential but so less players which makes the server a bit boring since we got no one to play with.
Also worth mentioning is that the server is up and running from the end of 2014.. so its stable and has good admins.
I hope there will be more players in the future!

Thank you soo very much for the kind words. There was 2 major factors that caused the server to loose popularity. Firstly there was a bug with the inventory which meant certain players lost a single item on server restart, which is now resolved for good.

The second was actually lack of Players, which also resulted in lack of GM/Admins. But we've got a small but dedicated staff atm, we just need the players now to back it up

That is the sole reason we supply both a Mid rate, level 300 cap server and a 1x rate 160 cap server. So you can decide to either go and be OP or just relax and have fun whilst leveling slowly.

x1 rates so thats the thing if the rates are like the official why should some play this and not the official ;) i was online and im the only one. make the rates at 10x or something but x1 makes no sense... and if u call it official like pls rework it

It is official "Like" for a reason, it is based on the same rates, drops and experience you would get from the official server. BUT hosts Shadow Flyffs array of systems to bring a twist to the official feel. This server was designed for those who like the server and like playing Flyff in general, but hate the fact that webzen and many other of the official hosts have given up on the game and refuse to develop it any further.


So saying that, i don't feel the need or want to change the rates or anything currently with that specific cluster to make it any more official like then it currently is.

hi NickHough it's sad that your server isn't popular but I tried it out and I keep crashing all of sudden when I use the teleport system..
also, it would be nice if the 'all in one' system (U BUTTON) would not be all in one, just in case if people are training and they want shortcuts..

As for the all in one, we got the suggestion and took a vote on whether this would be better then the individual shortcuts and there was a substantial push towards yes it would. However, i could introduce the shortcut to many more buttons that are typically used in servers to help players.

the website presentation can be a huge factor as well, the design of it is in a really bad shape. there are released websites that are clean and way better than the current one. I think that if the server gets a new look on the website it will attract more players since the current website looks like those fake servers that only have a vote link in order to get a position in top sites xD

Believe me i do understand that the website is the main factor in bringing players to a server. However with the limited resourced and the need for a website that follows a specific color scheme (Mostly dark grey/blue), it is a little difficult to design something that is attractive yet practical. I personally like the design of our website as it is simplistic yet has everything you need to play the game, interact with others and get help when needed, as well as manage your accounts and players better.

In fairness, i've never seen a fake servers website before, but i'd say the fake ones are the ones who just grab any old website from the release section, recolor it and leave it.

ShadowFlyff has had over 2 years of stability and development, with only 1 wipe of the inventory (for the 4 tab system and extension of the inventory) we've strive a lot and added tons of things players want which includes customs systems when the need arises, but it still doesn't seem to be enough.

Sorry for keeping it short this time. My Browser crashed and i lost the post i originally wanted to post. First of all: Keep in mind i am not a hater. I play Flyff since end of V5 Beta. And when it comes to bad design I can not properly design myself. Let me give you a quick example of a premium download tool, that Epvp premium users can use for free:

Let us go through my short journey of ShadowFlyff:



As other people already mentioned. The design of the website is bad, really bad. You need to change that. I will give you the same advice that my designer told me: NEVER use Comic Sans. Comic Sans is a disease nothing more. Just use a released Website it will attract more players.



The Patcher (the new one) looks good except for the Comic Sans part. Just the "Hover Cursor" does not match at all. But the first impression i was greeted with was from my AV:

I know this is for security reasons.. But just don´t use it. Regular players will just see the AV notice and will delete the client right away.
Also please rename the "Shadow.exe" to "Patcher.exe" or "Flyff.exe" people are just used to that.

Flyff and performance were never friends. I know that myself. Even xMootie hasn´t won that fight yet. But with the preset you provided the performance was awful:

I have a 8 Core CPU [18-30FPS]. Now imagine someone with a 5 year old laptop with a 2Ghz dual core cpu.

Better use this preset:

If someone wants to turn the settings higher, they always can do that.



You are a pretty good dev. I will check back in some month. I´ve had an eye on this server for a long time and i know it has potential. I never talk about this but i had a server on my own. It was never advertised on here. Flyff has a 40/60 Community in general 40% love PVP 60% love PVE.
We had a "never ending" Lvl system. Highest mobs where lvl 500. Max level was technically lvl 999.
No one could ever reach that lvl. So we basically had a never ending lvl System. It is something special if someone reads max lvl is "unlimited" compared to 300. In most cases simple is the best way to do things. Design, Features, Gameplay. Thats why Flyff got so popular back in the days.

I actually refuse to use anyone else's released website. Parts of the website i may look at and replicate, but i would never go and download one. I prefer a website that is solely designed for me and the purpose i want that website to serve. However if you have a website designer who is good at his job that can design me a website (no systems, just the design) i'd happily hire them for the job.

If you could translate your AV details that would be amazing, also what AV are you using? As not all pick up any problems, even my paid Avast version doesn't pick up any problems with any of my files.

I didn't realise i had my version of the Config file being used, however i will fix this in the newest patcher update. However we do have a graphics quality checker that runs on start up to check whether your CPU and GPU can handle the settings you've selected and if it can't we drop them down to some of our preset settings.

We are actually having a few new Logos being professionally designed right now, so hopefully they turn up with some pretty neat ones. Which i will then have a website designed around the logo (i will try to show you the logo to see if you like it or not)

As for your Low FPS in-game, i do wish to state that most of those frame drops will come from your GPU (Shadow Detail/Object Range) and not your CPU

Designing things cost a lot of Money, sadly. Maybe you will find someone who can design a website just for you. Otherwise, there would still be the solution to use a released website PSD. Not the coding part, just the design.
personally i think this is a design, that looks very nice. Some parts replaced with Shadowflyff Logo, the Background darkened a litte more?

It basically says that a potential thread is found. This is caused by the heurisic scan. More and more Av´s have this activated by default. Themida is often used to "hide" things. That why some AV´s behave like that. Some AV´s seem to find it okay, if a Themida protected executable is run, some other don´t. However some other AV´s won´t like Themida protected executables to communicate with the internet.
All in all Themida is a bad idea aswell as other "packers". It ruins more that it saves. If someone would like to design a professional "hack"
for your server, they are probably able to unpack the Neuz. But of course this is up to you. But yet again a mistake i did on my own but with Enigma Protector instead of Themida.

Sadly nearly everything is CPU calculated in Flyff.
