Wellllll, I think you're kinda missin the main point of whole c3 case.
90% of people you're directing this message to is interested into USING mods, either c3 or dds, they won't care as they want their clients to look better, not to make their in-game weapons low-poly but effective models, or so.
Another ~9% are "modders"... quarter wants to create simple mods for themselves to use, another quarter creates simple mods for their servers and whatnot, finally the other half is makin em to show off or release FOR CASUALS just like most of us did, yet few months back in time. After all, whole 9 percent creates mods for fun.
Finally, the 1 percent is people willing to start a graphic or a ?modeller? (o.O) career in future. Hoooooowever, probably 0,5 of this one tiny percent won't start from neither dds nor c3 creating.
Now to summarize...
People (or at least majority) wants their client to look better, sometimes to refresh it's look, possibly create some items for their private servers.. Finally, nearly nobody here wants to start a graphic/modelling career and at the end, basically... nobody (besides you two that I know) creates conquer mods with an ability to create something more complex.
So for the God's sake... Let people take their mods from squid (REMEMBER TO GIVE CREDITS, kids >.<), let them try to make their shitty models and finally, to use them in-game...
Do not expect people to take longer route, read billions of tutorials in order to make their own edits TECHNICALLY better. It's same shit like talkin, "Noooo, stop making them hue/saturate edits! Take tutorials, go on courses! Conquer modding will get you nowhere in future!"
Finally... whole "modding" shit is pure fun for us(conquer modders), not sorta bussiness like it is for you with zato, I suppose.
Amen.
