Sorry no DMA functions available at this time.

@lion_heart5151
TY for the scan, Generic tests often give false positives.
I would like to address the 4 hits found in that scan.

WS.Reputation.1 is a detection for files that have a low reputation score based on analyzing data from Symantec’s community of users and therefore are likely to be security risks. Detections of this type are based on Symantec’s reputation-based security technology.
M8 is a hack program so it wont have a high reputation in Symantecs database and even if the users boost M8's reputation, it will be back to zero the next time M8 gets a update.

Trojan:W32/Generic is a Generic Detection that identifies files with trojan-like characteristics or behavior.
Unlike more traditional detections (also known as signatures or single-file detections) a Generic Detection does not identify a unique or individual malicious program. Instead, a Generic Detection looks for broadly applicable code or behavior characteristics that indicate a file as potentially malicious.
M8 does have trojan like behavior it needs to or your characters get bot jailed.

The DMA stuff is not working right now. JoeK is testing it to make sure it's stable before he releases it to the public.

It's not a virus. This tool has been out for almost 5 years now and no one has had any legitimate complaints. Do you really think the mods would allow a program to be posted here for 5 years if it was a virus?

Come on people...think please.

he was stating a fact that his Avast antivirus considered this bot to be a virus, my Avast did the same too i just disabled it for 10 min to test it.. sucks how i cant seem to get it to work for me =))

No, what he was doing was bringing his, at that time, 2 post ass in here and saying that this has a virus. I see it all the time. Guys that come here to leach stuff and their only contribution is to call something that is known to be clean a virus. I'm just sick of it. And I stand by what I said. New guys should try reading some of the posts in the thread and they might actually find the answer. Now I realize that guys aren't going to read through everything from the past 5 years, but that could have been a big clue in itself. This thread was started 5 years ago and is still going strong. That should tell people that it has been considered clean and has been tested by a lot of people.

TY bugaboo, your not wrong,
Some developers do create noob accounts just so they can shite on other peoples works, how sad is that

Ive talked about this antivirus stuff a fair bit in previous posts.
Basically the generic tests that some antivirus programs do see that M8 does naughty things to other tasks and yes its does, its a hack program.

No its wont steal any of your info because if it did people would have noticed by now
Yes you may need to convince your antivirus to accept M8 or just don't use it :p

Here is a thread on false positives from the avast forums maybe that may help you understand the issue ->[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

Finally remember M8 never needs to have access to the network and you can firewall it totally.
08/19/2011 16:31 raptordin#1139
Well I have been using M8 for ages now and nope I have all my accounts and nothing ever happened to any of them. I can never live without Co2M8. :)
