Much nonsense this thing for botting. The Price is waaaaaaay too high trust me you dont wanna pay it.
Also it's not more than a Graphics Card. And thats true. You can use this thing for like Bitcoin mining or Brute Force passwords or to solve complicated mathematical/Chemical/Medical Problems (like Folding@home does). For Virtual machines it's very, very useless. You can even use your current craphics Card for that with a bit of tweaking and trust me no matter how shitty your graphics card is in these tasks its most likely faster than your CPU (Parallel Processes).
also the logical cap at VMWare Workstation is 64 Virtuall Machines, so no way you can run more than that on a Linux / windows or MAC host OS.
You would have to use ESXI as Hypervisor with a Vspehere / VCenter Server to be able to handle that many VMs on one single Computer / Server.
But ESXI doesnt suppourt coprocessors anyway at it's current version!
So if your want to have a huge amount of VMs on one single Machine use a Server with multiple Intel Xeon Processors on it. A huge Chunk of Ram And multiple SSD's in a Data Cluster. Also some "Raider" Graphics cards are needed like in Renderfarms.
But the Price is higher per VM than the current Desktop solutions. Other thatn that VMware is more optimzed for Server Hardware so it should run better.
you will also need one seperate server for vcenter / vsphere.
But anyone who want to try this should have alot of time and knowlege already.
So there is a good chance your are better going with the Desktop solutions!
I know I write too much but it annoys me people find something, post it here get a bunch of guys excited and they don't even know what they were posting.... just posting some stupid comment
