Although this would be easier to do (relatively), it is still very difficult and the solution would be temporary. Is it worth it to work on this for two weeks and have it work for only a couple days before they change their method?

Maybe we need another method, such as configuring l2walker to NOT connect to verify servers at all or if that is not possible then having it connect to a local server (maybe a server app running on 127.0.0.1). Although probably harder, this would be a permanant solution since they cannot change anything server side (since it would no longer connect to their servers).

What about older versions of L2walker, do they still works ?

I tested about 4 older versions, none worked. The 10.2.x versions don't need to connect to verify servers but you cannot enter the game with them.

I tested 1.16 (INGAME), and also cant get in game ... it freezes when I push login button :(

.....

yes & no

If they change the encryption in a future version of l2walker, you have to reverse engineer the encryption again which should be harder than to patch every single version of l2walker. (--> writing a new verification server)

Anyways, we need some good coders which have experience in reverse engineering and unpacking/unprotecting.

Yes, but you wouldnt need to patch every version. Keep version 10.4.2 for example, until it breaks for some reason and then do the same for next one. I am sure we can get 3-4 good months out of it.

Although not ideal, I think it would reduce the work. Although I can code, I have no experience in reverse engineering so unfortunatly I may not be making any sense =).

I'm sure there is a web site that you can post what u need and programers will bid on it..I know myself I would front some cash for this to run. I remember doing a search on an online game hack and I came across it...let me look and see...
