Like, every 2 characters decide to duel or whatever, system sets the place for them to duel, they duel, system declares the winner.

Why not doing a total conversion, just using the client for its functionnalities, but not its content linked as it is already.
Why not creating a new world, a new story, some new real functionnalities server-sided.
Like : Factions at the creation of the Character.
Or : A full instancied map system.
These ideas, are possible to make ! We just have to code it ;)

@Hybris, great idea. I played RuneScape when I was younger, and I remember I really liked the quests, and story-lines. I'm also thinking about creating 2 gods. Like Satan and God, and both have advantages and disadvantages, for example one has better chances when hunting, while the other is a little bit stronger when PKing, also different quests will be used.
