[Beta] Conquer Online DMap Editor

im not even sure its gonna be payware,i might make it freeware with extra addons.

well i don't have anything to do with conquer anymore but i think the one thing that is coming to my mind is this.

make a site name it idk (ultimates tools)

let that be your official site where people can get the original file. put a donation button there and i am sure people will donate to make sure you keep up with your work.

at least that way people will know that is the official place for the real tool(s) to get not just from any thread.

Yes i quit co, i got nothing to do with it but epvp have the section for programming so i go there time to time and check here ones a while.


And no i am not obsessed with websites i just need he needs ones to upload and start selling/trading from there, but its up to him.

Sure, wouldn't be that hard to pull out the resources but would stop most shitty servers from leaching.

Just changing the WDF hash algorithm and packing the resources will stop most servers. (And the server cipher)

well i have methods of changing the structure slightly for servers who want to protect there maps.

As much as I'd love to play with this tool, I don't think you should publicly release it. If you give this tool only to those you trust, then people might actually draw away from shitty servers like United Generals and play quality servers like Crystal Seven.

^ I completely agree with this. Although this tool should be available for everyone, there are unfortunately some members this doesn't need to get to. It's nice to think that the community can be improved by its members, but most members here aren't interested in improving it - I've come to realize that it's the underground's job to help with that. Maybe this could be an underground thing?

Although I agree with the above 2 statements, ask yourself, how much use would this be to a server which has no real artistic talent, sure they can recycle the existing content into new configurations but beyond that its unlikely they would create anything of any real value.

First you say that Ulti is a poser and never releases anything.
Then you start your own basic editor.
Later you quit it because ulti gave out beta access
Now its not okay to release it.

Right. I've come to realize that I might be wrong, maybe you can tell me. I had a bit more faith in the section than I do now. I do have faith in the underground though. Although we can't moderate who uses the tool in the public, we can moderate who's in the underground.

IMO putting it in UG would be silly. Why would you put it in a subsection that contains almost no artists? That's like putting a bunch of monkeys on a computer and telling them to design a logo. Lol.
