In a nutshell.
1. Download a hex editor. I like OLLYDBG.
2. Open OLLYDBG. You will see a blank work space. (BACKUP conquer.exe from the conquer folder first just incase)
3. Drag conquer.exe from the conquer folder into your workspace. A window with some scary looking code stuff pops up. dont fear I'm not going to teach u what this means, because lets be honest... you dont care
4. Right click anywhere in the largest pane (big white box *top left* with code lookin stuff in it) This brings up a menu
5. Go to View -> Module 'Conquer' (it should be bout 1/3 of the way down the list)
-CLICK-
6. Again right click anywhere in the largest pane to bring up a menu
7. Go to Search For -> All Intermodular Calls
-CLICK-
(You should now see a window titled Found Intermodular Calls)
8. DONT click, move ur mouse, stand up to use the restroom, or blow ur nose...just simply type "sleep" (please god dont include the quotation marks)
-PRESS enter-
10. Locate the window titled CPU - main thread, modual Conquer
-Notice how the first line is dark grey? That means its currently selected.. good It should say something along the lines of "kernal32.sleep" in the far right column.-
11. Press the up arrow key on your keyboard to move to the line above the currently selected line. Keep pressing up untill you see a line that looks like ADD ECX, 19
(should only be a couple lines above. if you press the up arrow key more than 10 times... you've failed. wait for someone to do it for you)
12. Double click that line. A box pops up and allows you to alter it. The number 19 is what you are changing. No need to explain exactly what 19 means kuz im sure you dont care. The idea is the smaller the number, the more FPS your client will allow. Go too low and it might cause ur CPU to work extra hard which will create..guess what.. lag
General rule of thump is 19 = normal 40fps limit. 12 should get ur somewhere round 50-60 and is recommended for most computers. If you got something really special tho u can go as low as 8 (around 80 fps) or even 6(ive seen it hit 120fps before) So you will have to play around and tweak it
YOUR NOT DONE YET!
13. After you changed 19 to your desired number (im using 10 for this example. Yes im following along AS WE SPEAK to make sure i dont spell something slightly different and confuse all the eggys out there -jokes-)
Make sure the Fill with NOP's box is checked (it should be by default) then click assemble
then close the assembly box
NOTICE how that line is now written in red. This means u made a change but it hasnt been saved you. This is ok. continue on
14. Lets continue pressing that up arrow key now untill we come across a line looking something like LEA EDX,DWORD PTR DS:[ECX+19] If it looks slightly different this is OKAY! The important thing to look for is the DS:[ECX+19]..heyyy reconize that magic number?
(this line should 4 or 5 lines above the other one..again.. if u hit up more than 10 times..fail..blah blah)
15. Double click that line to bring up ur assembly window and change the 19 to match the number u chose earlier. (yes they must match. If u chose to do 12 on the first line..it must be 12 on this line also) Click that assemble button then close the assembly window.
NOTICE - that line is now also red. CHANGES!
Now you should see two shiny red lines of gibberish codey lookin stuff. good
16. Left click (SINGLE CLICK) one to select it (it doesnt matter which one u do first)
17. From the menu go to Copy to executable -> Selection
BOOM a new window pops up. Dont fear simply minimize it (the little liney square button at the top right of the window that popped up)
18. Now that you see your window with the two lines of red code lookin nonsense. Left click (SINGLE CLICK) the other red line to select it
19. Right click the line you just selected and choose Copy to executable -> Selection
BOOM window pops up again UGH its ok this time. This time do not minimize the window. Close it (the square button on the top right of the window with a cute lil X in it)
20. When u close the window it will inform you that the file has changed. Not gonna explain what its trying to tell you because again.. u dont care. Click yes
ALMOST DONE
21. It will ask you to name this file. Well it should by default have a the name Conquer. Leave it Conquer.
If it asks you to overwrite it say Yes
POOF (ive been "booming" too much) your done!
(I decided to go into this process here because every guide ive seen online always skip a step or two. I guess the author takes for granted the fact that most of the people who need to be told how to unlock FPS have no idea wth their doing..if they did, they wouldnt need a guild. SO I tried to take no prior understanding for granted but alas we're all human so I have probably failed at that.
Im always surprised at the things ppl dont know. If I have confused you lemme know and ill try to simplify further.
