Final Fantasy XI (Online) Private Server files

i wish i could help but i didnt have that problem and have no clue in this instance. just wondering are you following Flee's instruction data file?

hmm i ran into a little hitch, the elevators in metalworks dont work so how do i go up to finish my missions.

your going to have to use the @pos command to warp to the bridge just type @where to get your pos and then edit the 2nd number til you get to the bridge above you.

thanks, i ended up using posr instead as i couldnt quite work out a position. zoned into d.wadi today, about 7 goblins right at the zone aggroed my two chars and killed us practically instantly yikes!
this aint the same vanadiel thats for sure, but still not a game breaker. i wish i knew how to program in c++ then id probably try fixing things myself. any good tutorials out there?

Hey guys. I am having exactly the same problem as this. :(
Everything else seems to be set up correctly. I am on Vista, and tried running as an Admin, but it didn't fix it.
Any other ideas as to what could cause this? :handsdown:

could possibly be that Final Fantasy XI did not install properly if your play FFXI normaly then idk what the problem could be but if you dont and are just trying out this then go to POL and click check files if Final Fantasy XI doesnt show up on that list its b/c it wasnt install properly this is only a problem ive found to exist on Win Vista/7.

Ah yes, you were correct! :handsdown:
FFXI was in my POL list, but I had neglected to go through the file check/repair
process. One overnight update later, and my server is working! Very cool!

I can only imagine how much work has gone in to this.

Hey all! I used to play FFXI since it launched on PC well over 6-7 years ago. I also used to help script on weekends for pXI, however now after a long absence from ffxi I come back to realize that it seems everyone has gave up, mainly because of FFXIV being on the way I am guessing.

Anyways, I am wanting to experience it for one last time and just run my own server locally to play on with a few friends, so I am wondering if someone who has a working set of server files would be able to upload and link them, preferably to something like mediafire since that way it wont be detected... or maybe u have a better idea.

Flee's links are dead so... hopefully someone can lend me a hand here =/ ???

only way that i know of is using mXI-0.9.0RC1 i have it somewhere on my PC but it is buggy and usual doesnt work on Vista/7 ive only been able to get it to run properly on XP, when i find it ill upload or something

yesterday one of the two characters ive been playing with glitched on me, at first i became unable to access his items, then after a while he couldnt even more nor log out... anyone else ran into this problem and found a fix maybe?

Does anyone have the list of zone ids?
I tried looking them up through polutils, but those #'s don't match.

Or is there another way to find those out?
