Sorry but when I open the .txt file (decrypted) it's still a strange language. What can i do?

I manage to dycrypt itemtype.dat into the newly created itemtype.txt.
I edited so that I can sell GMRobe with a price in Shopping Mall cause it showing 0 now in the mall.

After I finish editing. What do I do?

I did source is the new txt file and target is the current .dat file.
I did source is the current dat file and target is the new text file.

for the 2nd, I had a encrypted txt file after I TICK the button and click start. I change the .txt to .dat and it didn't work in the game.

Anyone can enlighten me what I did wrong or missing some steps.

When I opened the txt file it was still encrypted

Any one have program for en/decrypt server.dat for 5518 client?

I have tried multiple times with multiple decrypters and such
and couldn't manage to do anything with this file [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
Can anyone explain why did i fail to do anything and if you are a very very good guy try to pen it for me?

I can explain, iv never used this before but iv made my own edits to the file.

Yes it only changes front end, yes the file encryption have changed a few time throughout conquers patch history. So i cant say if this still works. i can recommend other editors iv made a few of them actually.

So basically yes it is possible to change the price of an item, but it will only show what is displayed to you not what it really costs.

In case that is still not clear enough, i will explain a simple purchase:

Firstly you need to know what i mean when i say,
Front end, this is the actual conquer client on your PC.
And Back end is the server.

If you set the cost of an item to 1 gold for example,
Then you buy the item on the front end,
It will display the price as 1 gold,
But when the purchase request gets sent to the back end it sends your chars session ID and the ID of the item and not the price since the back end already knows all the item prices...
The back end gets the item price using the item ID and subtracts the gold from the character who has the session ID received.
Then obviously adds the item to the character if he has enough gold and inventory space.

This is what typically happens on basically every game.

well nice work i loved this tool
it works on my itemtype.dat (co 5995) but after i made some edits and encrypt the file again and replace it with the original one then open the game all items dosnt appear only the quality of the item appears (eg: for super items a red flash).
so can u tell me how i make it work fine after encrypt it ?
