I was curious about it, so I ran the version that was available yesterday (which was uploaded on Nov 30, with the file name saying it was .31), and there are a lot more differences between that one and the current one (uploaded today) than just the .toc ([Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] - 79 changed files), indicating that it somehow was indeed .18. I previously had .20, so I compared them as well, and I could see that some typos and stuff were getting *introduced* with the "update", so it really was .18, somehow.


But yeah, again, right now, the link is providing the correct version. Thanks for everything, Sky :).

Well seeing people are going by the version and saying 5 different versions for the same file.
Next update, version removed and problem solved.

I am not going by just the version though, did you see my screenshot? I'm saying people really were receiving .18 somehow, removing the version number won't change anything :/

I'm also not complaining at all, people need to be more patient - I was just curious as to why people were saying it was .18 and some .31, and I simply confirmed the file that was available yesterday was literally including everything from .18, I can see it right there, all the 79 files that were changed with hundreds of changes everywhere. People weren't going crazy, Mediafire really wasn't providing the right file yesterday

So do not install it right, blame the addon
Install it over the old one, blame the addon
Did not uninstall the other one, blame the addon
Did not extract it fully, blame the addon
Use the wrong software, blame the addon

Well today when the file is right, people still claimed it is wrong.

You know what is interesting?

1. All these people before have taken it and never said a word. Now they cannot get what they want, they got something to say. When most did not even install it right.
2. Over 98% of people took it and said nothing. Knowing there was an issue and still said nothing.
3. When the file is right and the version is right. People still claim it is wrong, so they blame the addon. Due to they cannot even uninstall and install an addon.

No version number, what are they going to complain about then? Oh wait, over 98% of people say nothing anyway.

In RestedXP Classic Era, is there no starting zone for Tauren? I only have the option of Durotar and Tirisfal Glades. It's my first time using RestedXP, and I'm not sure if I've configured everything correctly. When I open the configurator, it immediately loads guide 12 - 17 The Barrens. My character is level 1 Tauren, and I haven't taken any quests yet.

Well, earlier this morning, it was still saying the file was uploaded on November 30. I'm guessing there was a problem at Mediafire and it somehow didn't refresh for everyone until a few hours ago, before the moment people were still complaining. Which is why I'm saying removing the version number won't change anything, because if some people are still getting the old version, they're gonna have the old version regardless, lol. I'm far from an idiot, and I've compared both files, and it REALLY WAS .18 that was uploaded, despite the archive's name being .31, yesterday *and* early this morning.

What I'm saying is that while people need to be more patient in general and, yes, use their brain correctly, in this specific case it wasn't people being idiots, the file was *literally* .18 still (again, perhaps because the link hadn't propagated properly yet) when they were saying that. And I have that file still. Do you want me to re-upload it so you can see for yourself?

Interesting, so the "upload date" on Mediafire really is just a "modified date", or maybe it found it had the same hash as the original, because it's showing November 30 for that one as well, with the exact same upload "time" as the original was showing, despite me having *just* uploaded it a few seconds ago. Either way, this is the file some people were still getting earlier today, last night and yesterday, when they were still complaining. The file name says .31, but if you compare *absolutely everything* (NOT just the TOC and such) with the latest version, you can see this one is indeed an older version, which is why I'm saying hiding the file version in that case won't change much, because everything else is from an older version regardless, and people are still going to complain.

Yes this seems correct, I just checked both of my files that have the same .31 name and they are different sizes and everything.

Seems people go by version and time and not by the uploader. Shows people have no idea why and how I upload.

Seems like you don't understand what I'm saying, or are not reading everything. Here is a point, that will prove you. Before this, you toon the files and said nothing like others have. 1 issue and you cannot get what you want, when you want it. Then you come with the attitude. I have had demands and DM’s that I quit my job and upload every file instantly. That they want me to use my time and my money to do it. So they can get it for free. Well to those people o tell F off. Seems they are not capable of anything.

Reading everything would have saved you a lot of headaches, because you're accusing me of things that you are making up from thin air on the spot because you have no idea what I'm talking about, and you think I have an attitude. I'm literally trying to help, here. YOU started having an attitude with me. I understand seeing dozens of people complaining can make you angry, but you're taking it out on me when I'm just trying to help you understand why these people were complaining. Instead of understanding what I'm saying, you're not reading and are angry at me for no reason. You have a right not to read, but being angry at someone who wants to help you understand a situation isn't cool.

I usually do not post because I don't usually see people having issues at the time I grab it, because by the time I grab it, it's either already fixed or there were no issues to begin with, and I do not grab it often. I figured the current version was a big enough update (with SoD and everything) to warrant adding it to my archives, but I noticed people complaining, so I tried to be helpful (you know, by trying to explain *why* people were complaining, to alleviate some stress, and also to slip in a thanks of some kind). But, evidently, I shouldn't have posted at all, because I'm just getting attacked on repeat.

If you want to stop posting, that's your choice, go ahead, I literally do not care, because I don't use it. After all, I really think you maybe should, because it seems like it's causing you a lot of stress.

Yes, version number is irrelevant.

I'm not refusing to answer, I just don't know how else to explain that people were getting served the wrong file somehow and literally got the wrong version without getting yelled at or insulted (with all the files from .18, which is the one I re-uploaded for you to inspect), even after the update was pushed, and that it wasn't because they were installing it incorrectly.
