Understanding HWID ban/ shadow bans

Yeah so I'm definitely shadowbanned, I can however connect to the online services so thats a good thing. Don't want to push it further so I'll just have to wait until it passes. As long as I'll be able to play without spoofers It's fine.

It should lift 7 days after the first attempted queue where you first got 350ms ping.

Let us know what happens.

I have a question that I'm not quite sure how to answer despite reading the thread:

I had a Warzone account with which I tried out a wallhack for a few days six months ago. Since then I've been playing without cheats again.
This account is now permanently banned (battle net also shows it). I have no idea when it was banned. My main account is now apparently shadowbanned (despite the spoofer I used back then). I can't find any lobbies.

I will now replace the mainboard + SSD and reinstall everything fresh (I planned to do it anyway).
Do you think I can play normally again on the newly set up PC with my main account after a week for example?
Or is there still a risk that this account will be permanently banned too? Is there anything else I should do? Thanks!

I'm not your best source as you can see above, but after reading into it I'll add my 2 cents.

If you are planning on replacing your parts to play Warzone again you should replace more than just the MB and SSD. As far as I know the HWID ban exists of the following components: MB, CPU, GPU, RAM and all connected SSD/HDD drives.

You said you are banned but that it could be a while ago, I'd suggest waiting 7-14 days since the first 350MS ping / no lobbies finding. Most people are shadow banned for a limited amount of time only, so no need to replace your components.

I'm back already, just played a couple of games <30ms.

Not sure why it fixed itself so quickly, a couple of things I did today:
- Play Black Ops on my banned account, since I was only banned from Warzone & Modern Warfare
- After playing Black Ops Battle.net gave me an 90GB (full game) update
- After updating I can play Warzone again

I was able to play a few rounds of rebirth today, but I think it was shadowban lobbies. I still couldn't find normal battle royale. What did you play?
Maybe I'll wait until next weekend and see if it works again. The question is whether it is still better to exchange the board and reinstall everything to be on the safe side. From what I've read, it's not necessary to replace the entire hardware.
Getting a permanent ban after a week with shadowban doesn't actually make any sense or? Then they could ban the accounts directly permanent?!

Rebirth and caldera are on the same system.
If you couldn't find games on caldera, you wouldn't have been able to on Rebirth.

Yes, but that's the way it is. Found rebirth lobbies in 20 seconds. If I search battle royale, the ping increases slowly and I can search for minutes without anything happening. Just tried again. Maybe not enough shodowbanned players für BR lobbies? ^^

How high does your ping go to while searching on caldera?

Yes. Yesterday I did't find any lobbies. Same 350ms on rebirth.
But today I can get into rebirth squads or duos within around 10 to 30 seconds.

When was your permanent ban, and is this account just a basic account (any purchases?).

I don't know when the cheat account was banned. I haven't used that since last summer. This one had no purchases. Only used few days.
After I couldn't find any more games with my main account on saturday, I logged in with the cheat account and saw that it was banned.
This morning it also took a long time for rebirth and I only found a 120ms lobby. Maybe really shadowban lobbies and there are fewer players online in the morning?!

Sometimes I get legit players in the lobby not only ragers thats weird is it really new sb system or its just the servers that are fucked and lots of cheaters ?

They decided to shadowban anyone that plays well, legit or not. The only way around this would be to become a whitelisted streamer.

They figured ricoshet wasn’t doing enough so what better way to please the bots than to shadowban the sweats
