So... tonight I was at home drunk and got really hungry, prompting myself to start cooking with whatever ingredients I could scrounge together in my kitchen. I'm a college kid and have only been into cooking for a few months.
I started by chopping up a fairly large onion, a bit larger than baseball, and frying it in vegetable oil. I added some garlic powder, pepper, salt, and tried to add a tiny bit of sugar... when i put WAY too much sugar, to the point that it melted into a liquidy soup.
I figured, "fuck it," and added in about four eggs, with a little of the broccoli stalk i had remaining. I added a bit of hot pepper flakes for a zip and cooked it for about 10-15 min.
Now, I'm eating a golden-colored sweet mix of eggs that resembles the texture of oatmeal, and it's actually really good. If I mixed it with asian-style noodles, it seems like it could be a legit asian dish. It's sweet, has a little kick, and has a nice consistency.
Did I just discover new through my fuck-up, does it only taste good because I'm drunk, or does this kind of thing exist in the culinary world?
