Understanding HWID ban/ shadow bans

Yea. When MW19/WZ first came out, for about a year, if you got SB'd you could just buy the full game or upgrade to a better edition and it would remove the shadow and keep you safe from other bans.

Who's UA tool did you use and what AUAV tool did you use?

This is basically what's going on with a lot of people these days though, some accounts get shadowbanned (sometimes instantly, even before a match) while other accounts are fine and can be played on with or without cheats, seems theres no REAL rhyme or reason to it.

But I think they are flagging certain PCs/HWID for shadowbans, like "hey give that guy a few random shadowbans because he MAY be a cheater, but we don't really know" type of thing.

Your case is almost exactly like mine though I was PB'd because of the camo tool.

Can somebody tell me please if I am shadow banned or what. I don't use any cheetos but..on my main account I stupidly bought max level weapons for vanguard. No issues for a few days, then I had a great game sniping, high headshots in a low kd lobby (quite a few death coms calling me a cheat etc), I then got shadow banned, ping straight to 350).

I purchased other accounts.... but they let me play a game or two then shadow banned too. I went to login to one of the accounts I bought today (login from.phone to battlenet and it was perma banned) so I tried to login to another of the account that hasn't been anywhere near my PC and that was already perma banned.

My question is... Will my main account get a perma ban? And how likely is hwid ban?

Sounds like you're HWID banned if you're catching multiple perma's

STOP logging in on your main ASAP.

I had another account that I tried yesterday, not a purchased account but an old account that's legit never had cheetos or unlocks. It got shadow banned after 1 game, so i logged into battlenet today (on a browser from phone) and that account isn't perma banned like the others. I am thinking the others that I purchased were all just dodgy rubbish.

What do you think?

Just play on that one then, I still say stop logging into your main on that computer regardless.

I was permanently banned on my main account after using an unlock all tool after a game update occurred. After being permanently banned I went onto my alt account and then was shadow banned for 7 days. Today was the unban date for the account, I played numerous games and had no issues whatsoever. I understand that when a shadow banned account injects something, it is banned again. Does the re-ban apply to the account if you were to use an unlock all tool on it? And if it does, would I just have to simply make a new account or even purchase an account that's aged in order to use the unlock all tool without an issue? I haven't really seen much posts regarding tools, only pure injections for external cheats, so sorry if I missed it. I would just like some clarification if possible.

My specific case:
- Got permanently banned (WZ/MW) using only ESP (Tuesday) on my main the very first time I tried to cheat just to see what the fuzz was about (lol.).
- After being banned I did a clean Windows install (format / reinstall)
- Created a new BNET and COD account, haven't linked them yet
- Haven't played the game yet

What do I do next, can I just wait 7-14 days? Do I need to start the game with my new account at least once to get the shadow ban period running? If I start the game with my new account, does that account get perm banned or just shadow banned for 7-14 days?


I went through like 10 pages of this thread but couldn't find an answer to these questions specifically.

Permanent bans are permanent bans. So there is no "re-ban".

Also, you can definitely inject cheats using shadowbanned accounts where the SB has lifted...not being able to inject successfully on a lifted shadowban account is not a thing


But anyway, nearly all unlock all tools are all scuffed right now and almost always are gonna lead to a ban eventually.

Nobody can really tell you until you do it.

You're going to have to start Warzone and see what happens to your new account.

So there is no reason to be waiting 7-14 days now because you're not waiting for anything. The 7-14 days people speak about waiting out, are waiting out their own already initiated by the game shadowbans, they're not simply waiting 7-14 days to play the game again without receiving a shadowban.

You basically have to sign up with your new account, def don't use a botted account you bought from ANYONE, and honestly for this scenario don't even use an online number service, literally just use a family members/friends/signig other etc etc. You only need that code once.

So make a new account, use a REAL email and REAL phone number of someone you know - then launch Warzone with no tools or cheats and play.

If you are auto 350ms pinged, or 350ms pinged after ONE match. You are HWID banned.


If you can continue to keep playing with no signs of anything, you're fine.

As far as the cheat, it was EngineOwning. Don't believe anything on their status page, it's bullshit. There is a thread going on there that staff/mods are not even responding to themselves. Seems to be detected since Sunday, If i'd just have read a bit more without believing their status page my account would've been fine :kekw:

It may turn into a permaban once the shadow is over if you are HWID banned.
