Grepolis bot (Now with attack option)

To answer the first part:
You probably don't have enough resources if the bot doesn't build anything. And if the bot doesn't attack anything your farmers mood and/or strength is to low.

I quoted the second part of your message below. Could you try to write that again in proper English? No idea what you want to say :/

but still like it sometimes with some cities I remove the buildings that I set it in May August to build and do not have built and we remove.

Sounds great :handsdown:
The reason for my question is that, the bot is running on a virtual PC which has a scheduled power on/off, so it would be nice if it could logon and start with the pc power on.

Second, some suggestions for improvement.

In the farmers overview, instead of having the "incomming units: true/false" it could be nice it it could show something like "heading/returning", so that one would know what was happening.

In the army queue or main window perhaps, it could be nice to have a total count of your troops.

Glad to hear about a new GUI, not that i don't like the current one, but there is always room for improvement ;)

Just my 2 cents.

Yeah I know the farmers overview could use some improvement. But the farmer system will change when they release Grepolis 2.0, after that I'll make a new GUI for it.

And about the auto login/start option, the new version of the bot will probably also have an auto login feature, sounds very useful with your example.

Doh! It works

Can you explain me how to use the farming function or is there somewhere a Guide?
12/26/2010 22:52 Utharnl#981
You can find the guide in the start post. But the important settings are:
Quote:
Min. mood The minimum amount of mood a farmer should have before you attack it
Min. Strength The minimum amount of strength a farmer should have before you attack it
Min. mood (support) The minimum amount of mood a farmer should have before you support it
Max. Strength (support) The maximum amount of strength you want a farmer to have before stopping the support
if you have no idea what values you should use, you should use the default values.

Also you need to set the units you want to use for the attacks, you can do that by clicking on View->Army

Hi Utharnl, sorry to bother U again, but the sourcecode download for the grepolisbot isn't working.

Is it on purpose or can U fix it?
12/26/2010 23:46 Utharnl#983
Looks like the first link is dead. But there are also two mirrors, just tried them and they still work.

Connection to server lost. Reconnect in 60 seconds

Hi, I still have a problem with this program, I mean specifically for this error:

2010-12-11 20:18:44 The request was aborted: The request was canceled.
2010-12-11 20:18:44 Connection to server lost. Reconnect in 60 seconds

That problem is caused by timeouts of the http request. That is when the bot gets his data from the Grepolis server.

I know of only one way to fix this problem and I already implemented that for someone else a few months ago.
No idea why that fix doesn't work for you.

Looks like there are some computer and/or network settings that prevent this from working correctly. No idea which one though :( When I think of something that could fix this I'll let you know.

But your Windows version and the .NET Framework aren't the problem here. I have tested the bot on Win XP, Vista and Win7 both 32 and 64 bit without any problems.

hi,

I've got the same issue with connection. With Firefox and Opera I could login normally to website. I don't know what settings bot is taking to connect to grepolis (or internet) but seems here is an issue. I don't use normally IE so it was not configured properly to connect to my ISP.

I changed settings in IE (tools/Internet options/...LAN settings)- from using dedicated proxy server to setting - automatically detects settings and bot connected from first time. I tested by changing few times this setting and each time the same result - working or not working, depends on IE connection configuration.

I know, strange but helped me to fix this so I hope it will help for next versions :)

And congratulations for good job :)

Hey Uthar, one quit suggestion/question (sorry if this has allready been posted)...

Can you code an option with which the user of the bot can "write" the order of the farmers attacks?
12/30/2010 12:01 Utharnl#990
@callaron36
No problem ;)

@life_is_good
The bot uses the .NET Framework so it could be possible that it uses the global settings of IE.
I can probably change those settings by modifying the registry but I'm not planning to do that. Because it already works for almost everyone and people will loose their configuration when I make those changes in the registry.
But it's good know how you fixed it. That will probably help people with the same issue.

@Unghiutza
Yes it's already asked a few times, but no problem. There are almost 1000 posts in this topic so it could take a while to read them all.
About your question: No, not planning to do that. Grepolis 2 starts at the end of January and you can't attack farmers any more in that version.
