In english? I saw the german ones, and to be honest, I don't think it is funny or entertaining at all. But I heard the english version is much better, because of great voice acting. In fact that's a really interesting topic. People keep claiming the original versions of their favourite shows are the best ones, and from what I've seen so far, that's actually quite the same opinion which I have.Quote:
I'm watching The Big Bang Theory. And you ?
Not in english, I'm french. But I promise, it's really better in french, I love it.Quote:

This board is international, it's more a matter of the higher total count of german people in this board.Quote:
Well, looking at the first post, this thread seems to be made for foreign users, and by the looks of it, there's mostly germans using it.
It really depends, some synchronisations are better than the original, but that is not always the case, for example the german version of supernatural has REALLY chosen bad people for the job.Quote:
I think, series in german never as good as the original, but who cares, a lot of people watch still the shit of german synchronisation.

Living in Germany, you are in favour of a privilege not every country has: Almost every successful film, series, etc. has been voiced by professional voice actors into your mother tongue. I hear a lot of people complaining about how bad the translations are, that they don't successfully bring across the actual message and how they would easily do better. That's just ridiculous. First off, translating is really hard; even if you are as fluent as one can get in a foreign language, you still need pretty much experience to know how to deal with stuff, e.g. sayings, poetry (also in songs) and so on. Secondly, the voice acting is done to ensure that everyone can understand the film/series, meaning that if you are fluent enough in English to enjoy the originals, you are not part of the target audience. To put it in a nutshell: Stop bitching about bad voice acting, it only makes you look like a notorious nagger.
It was just a realization.Quote:
