No idea where these old links are, because I never keep old links.

Any changes, I replace them with a new link.

Seeing you do not say what file you downloaded. I have no idea what the file is.

It is known that windows defender on and off has issues with ".rar" files.
But feel free to use Virus total or anything else to scan it.

So you can confirm that whatever you downloaded is safe.

I never will post anything with a virus in it.

But seeing you choose not to say what file. I cannot provide a VT result for it.

Seeing you say unzip it, I ask what did you unzip it with?

Seeing it is a rar file and not a zip file.

So if you are trying to unzip it with nothing else. It is treating it like a zip file and not recognized as a zip file.

So it says it cannot read it and gives an false result.

If you use 7zip to extract it, that is free and would be no issues.

No security vendors and no sandboxes flagged this file as malicious

So by the sounds of it, with the issues before.

People take, say nothing and when they cannot extract it and claim it is a virus.
It is because they try to extract a rar file with "Zip" only software and then it does not work.

That is like trying to use mac software on windows and it does not work.
