[Tutorial] Shaiya Updater

Hello i got one problem with data.saf i maked update on item.Sdata but when i take a look in data.saf every thing gona and only item.sdata left ...why :D

Did you actually import the new item.sdata into your "server" data.sah ?
Sounds liek you just copied the item.sdata into your game files and hoped that would work :S

i change smothing in item.sdata and i update it on server and every thing in data.sah gona [i maked ps00##.patch with item.sdata]

which method did you use, and which files did you put in to the patch itself?

well i used shstudio to change smothing in item.sdata and saved it and after i used shaiya_make to make it ps...patch and i update it, but when update done i saw every thing in data.saf gona

using Shaiya Make, did you zip the files properly? i cant remember the correct way cuz i dont use that method, i use LPH's DataFileTool for my patches, but i think if you zip the files in the wrong way you get errors liek the one you're having..

yes i use datafiletool to but orther ppl cant see what i change on item.sdata so i maked patch on item.sdata

Hello ^_^ I saw the video the kind of video I been looking for ^^ I was thinkin of making the updater but a quick question about somthing? I notice i have a diffrent version of shaiya then u do in version.ini i have 108 so just confused about that part and 1 more question I have a ep4 client wasent sure if it well work or not cuz i dont want to miss it up. ^^ I have made a backup file just in case.

Anyone else having issues with downloading your patches to your updater using webs.com? Seems I have tried 3 different servers and none will update. Just giving the "Download failed. Cannot read the file c.25"

I thought it was only me, I've been wracking my brains for a few days now trying to figure out what I could have possibly messed up... If it's actually Webs.com and not me, I'll be frustrated, but very relieved!

Thanks for saying something, I was just about in panic mode. x) Guess it's time to contact Webs and see what's going on.

By the way, does anyone use a host other than Webs for patches? Maybe it's time to just find a new patch host. lol

Use your dedicated server to host patches, at least if it's not working you will know why.

microsoft virtual c++ error. but it's the same updates that worked on webs so don't know why this going on now..

could someone please explain what you need to open this on a host. after webs stoped working i have a hard time getting it to work from my host. i have

all the config.ini updateversion.ini and and the patches like MIME becouse iss need MIME to get it working. so you can download and stuff

but i stil get the damn Download Failed: Read Profilec08 when i run the updater.

shaiya make link doest not work ;o where else i can download??

trying to use my server for updates.. and it's iss 7.5.

i have changed all to Mime for acess both ini files opens in web browser and i can dl patch manualy from my server but the updater.exe is showing download failed: Read Profilec08. what is it i'm missing?

it's the same that worked from webs.com untill they closed it down (damn morons) LOL

anyone know how to set it up in iss 7.5?
