if anyone can break it down to idiot guide from the groud up, it would be great cause i just don't get how this works. If i can get online, awsome... just someone help this blonde out please.

I've read through all 8 pages of this thread and followed all of the instructions that people said and I'm getting the "Cannot find server 5.95.210.244" . I really don't want to sound like a pain but does anyone have any suggestions?

well its not rly a problem its just when you see that it means hes not online to host the server ATM :(

yea as long as u keep Hamachi open you can see if Dante is on and try it :)

Right now it's showing Dante online but still nothing

okay, go to first post, download the pXI viewer, "it might be labeled MXI" download the Hamachi file as well.

now, install them in two different folders on your desktop, make one for pXI and one for Hamachi.

now go to where your PlayOnLine, Tetra Masters, and Final Fantasy folders are, should look something like this but might be different depending on your computer.

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\ffxi\squareenix.
"mine looks like these because i got my FFXI version from Steam"

your copy might start with C:\Program Files\playonline\ffxi\squareenix
or
C:\Program Files (86x)\playonline\ffxi\squareenix

go into the PlayOnline folder and "Copy" the "Data" folder in there.

now "Paste" the "Data" folder in the Final Fantasy XI folder.

now if you have not extracted the pXI and hamachi into your folders on the desktop please do so now.

once you have done all this.

Run Hamachi as "Administrator" pick join network option, an put in the Server name in the network ID, Pick whatever server has room, so far there are FFAWESOME0/1/2/4/5.
Password for all of them is easy

once you have joined a network, then run pXI Viewer as "Administrator"
now make an account, then once you have done that, you are setup.
enjoy the game.

if for some reason you cant get in or are getting an error message just check back on the forums, there is an explanation for everything i think.

Having a lot of trouble, i have everything downloaded, everything moved. data folder copied and pasted. But im confused at how to make a pxi account. this is the only part im not understanding. i dont even see an option 2 like the readme says. Help Please.

Edit: Keep getting error:

Couldn't find server! 5.95.210.244

keeps repeating over and over and over

idk i sent dante a message through hamachi but no response yet. I am really just curious as to where i make a pxi account. Would be nice to play since real servers are down for a week.

THIS SERVER WORKS!!!! THIS SERVER WORKS!!!!

MUST Follow the following steps:
1: you get Final Fantasy 11 installed. and download this file "SpiraXI.zip" from [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

2: Copy "Update files" into your ProgramFiles/PlayOnline/Square Enix/Final Fantasy XI/ directory.
OR: Windows 7 64 bit, this directory is in ProgramFiles(x86) instead.
3: Open up the file called "ffxiupdate.bat."
4: Open up POL and add a member with the ID as 12345678 and the name as 12345678.
5: Back at the POL main menu, select "Check Files" option. (should have alist to pick from, and select FFXI)
6: After scan, it will tell you have an error. Then you click "Fix Files." .
7: Close anything that has to do with POL down
8: Open up the folder "Server" and run "MySQL.bat."
9: Next, open up the folder "SpiraXI" and run "SpiraXI.exe"
10: Open up the folder "mXI" and run "mXI.exe" AS ADMINSTRATOR.

Now you can make your char and join our server and have a world of fun!!!

Find file: "hookLog.log" and change all 127.0.0.1 to 5.95.210.244
Find file: "Client.ini" and change all 127.0.0.1 to 5.95.210.244

Ok so i have never posted on here before i just tried the server keeps giving me a pol 0019 error does anyone know how to fix this?
