A word of warning to all who want to rent a dedicated server. DON'T use APlus.net, they suck badly.

btw Q did you read my last suggestion on the new GM command? I believe it got bumped down without any GMs viewing it. I will post first thing on new forums or I can PM you my suggestion if you want :P

edit: I can also establish and run some temporary and emergency forums for when website goes down. I think that might help to keep people informed in case of site construction or downtime.

Yea I got a full backup of the old server, so no worries. I went for a mid range server for now, money is tight. It's not bad tho' 3 gig P4 HT, 1GB RAM and 100Mbit unmetered link. I was a bit limited cos my credit card can only be used in the UK and bandwidth here is stupidly high priced so the only servers I could get were UK based ones which cost a fortune, or had crappy monthly caps. Fortunately I managed to find a good provider who accepted Paypal, so that solved that. :D Hope to see you all at qonquer.com again soon.

I really think a good thing to do would be to maybe post a link to Temporary forums (free ones i can make) so we dont expand this thread insanely and keep bumping above more important stuff for this site.

Currently we are swithing dedicated server providers. Which means website down time along with the server.
By my estimates anytime within 24 hours it will be back up.
