It might already be removed depending on what client they use.

Also, make sure you delete names from database when they are deleted by user. Reusing name is something I want to see. Character might get bugged so, just to be sure...

Already done long ago. We got a clean ass DB. :)

That's not what he meant, I think he meant that once a player deletes one of his chars, that name can be reused.

AFAIK that's like names can be used after every maintenance (aka server restart). But I'm not so sure, so we'll probably check that matter.

My bad. Characters names usually can't be re-used after deleting them and here is why:
After a character gets deleted it gets stored in a "Deleted Characters" table.
So incase somebody deleted them by mistake they can be restored by the staff (same goes for items btw).
There would be a conflict if in the meantime another user made a character with the same name.
There are two different stored procedures for deleting characters.
One deletes it completely and one puts it in the "reserve" table for the mentioned reasons.
The only solution for this would be deleting them manually with the "delete complete" procedure which can be done only by staff members.

I don't know about the current GC DB structure but in our DB it won't work, if it did in PA then it probably was because the DB got restored in the meantime.

Any ETA? Do people with windows 8.1 and win 10 will get reward for not playing test phase? I was supporting your project but it's seems like u dont care anymore about win 8.1/10 users.

We actually do care. We put weeks of work into fixing the issue and before we delayed the whole project even more we made this poll to see what people think. So we started right away.
Win8.1/10 is still being looked into.
By the way. Windows8 build 9200 seems to work too.
