Actually, auto-update worked for me just fine. All I had to do was first open the sro_client and then afterwards open the launcher. When I did that, it started updating automaticall.y

Great news , but I think this should be posted at the website itself and the client update notice (namely in silkroad.exe) so players out of epvp should get to know without going to any other source :)
