Serenity CO tries hard. Saturn is working with an old server, and has done his best. As a former player on both EASY and sorta hard mode, I ended up quitting because Saturn is a one man show who is in scant control of his server. After dumping some cash in the game, and having a fun time - it got ruined in my eyes by the in game GMs which Saturn tends to put into place based off (seemingly) how much cash they supply him with. Now, I'm not opposed to paying to play as stated previously; but a GM should refrain from 'playing' and do his due to the community. What previously (and presumably currently) exists is a few GM characters who manipulate and abuse their powers for the betterment of their own. I was a friend of Nightwolf before he became a GM, I watched his downfall; watched him become a GM. The funniest thing of all, is while I liked the kid - I liked him out of pity because he was such a prick he would cuss out and racial slur anyone in the chat and I saw him as misunderstood. When he became GM (shouldnt have happened, he has not the personality to help people, only to hate) it became immediately clear he was out for power. Actual Game Masters are above the game drama, he was at the bottom of it, string it and causing it. This turned the already very lewd and racial community into a cesspool of filth. After trying my best to help saturn and this community, I was pulled to another group and began working on their server's code and helped them release their server which is currently the best one on the market in way of stability and COMMUNITY. I will not name the name, it is a dis-service to Saturn and his server.
Over all - Fun server BAD BAD BAD Community, and even worse GMs.
but if you want to run your SV, doing so here is easy as eating pie. Very nice casual game play. Easy mode (call it server Saturn lol) was fun, but not for the Elite players who want to play a fair server (which translates to rape and pillage if you are on the level) due to the imbalances brought on by nobody GMs and their parents credit cards (firstly to become a gm) and their exploits secondarily of their 'powers'. When an Elite can get into the top 10 but never the top 3 because a fuggin GM is the strongest char and PLAYS the game; we digress.
Don't play hard mode. The server operator is a ghost. I even offered to buy the server but saturn slacked too hard on the communication. I was that into helping this community become valid....
(amusing tip, this server and it's "staff" seemed totally unaware what SV was and during the time they attempted to call out botters and hackers I found myself surrounded by people who must have played this game years after I had.... Newbies so I tried my best to educate Saturn and his GMs on how to spot hacks, bots, and the ilk but to no real effect all my attempted helpfulness went unseen and unheard)
The truly infamous players like myself will stay in the shadows and see CO as a loving time long past. I played from server1 down to classic CO server and while I haven't gotten my crack online fix in years though serenity came close until the full picture came into view- I think I may finally be growing out of the habit.
