Only 4 cores are working, other 4 cores are saving battery life. They are showing clock speed only in benchmarks. Also, there is no software and hardware integration, Samsung just doesn't know anything about it. High-end games launch on iPhone faster than on all the samsungs.
So don't even try to put it to comparison. Samsung is having popularity only for their budget, which lets them buy ads everywhere.

Try to compare with qualcomm's chipsets, they're much better.
I don`t know much about all the mobile phones but i gave samsung just as an example and i am pretty damn sure none of those mobile processors are as quarter as strong to a mainstream pc processor. WHY? Because theres no battery that is going to sustain a real strong processor`s power long enough. And people are probably not looking to play crysis 3 on their phones. And i am still sure mobile software runs fast on mobile because of they are especially assembled for mobile processors. Just as i am also sure some games that run "ok" on some intel processors but won`t run good on a much stronger amd processor is because of the game was assembled for an intel processor or the opposite. And still doesn't change the fact that a mobile phone processor being quad/hexa/octo/500 cores doesn't mean they are x times better than a single core processor; so that still makes it a trick.

Most mobile phone chips use the ARM instruction set, you can not really compare it to x86, even the slowest intel atom cpu is faster than most arm cpus, speed is however not the primary concern of mobile phone cpus

Silkroad started the development to xbox and ps.

You underestimate the progress, my friend. It's 21st Century. In 2007 there were no apps for mobile phones, no games (except those java crap on symbian).
Now, 5-6 years passed and we're playing pretty much powerful games on our mobile devices (RR3, NFSMW, Wild Blood etc.). Integrating silkroad to work with mobile platforms wouldn't be so impossible, it's rather possible. Unfortunately there are no good touch-based controls for MMORPG games, so I guess that tower defense rumor is the most promising.

honestly, porting sro to mobile isnt hard.all you gotta do is just make it compatible with ARM style processor chips, and optimize the effects and such, and youd get a mobile sro.you could also do cross-platform so you can play sro on mobile AND pc

I'm guessing it's going to be really hard to add a touch-screen compatible control system/ui for a game like silkroad, a complete port would not be really functional

Yeah. Just imagine trying to play SRO on PS or XBox. How would you use skills?
