You underestimate the progress, my friend. It's 21st Century. In 2007 there were no apps for mobile phones, no games (except those java crap on symbian).
Now, 5-6 years passed and we're playing pretty much powerful games on our mobile devices (RR3, NFSMW, Wild Blood etc.). Integrating silkroad to work with mobile platforms wouldn't be so impossible, it's rather possible. Unfortunately there are no good touch-based controls for MMORPG games, so I guess that tower defense rumor is the most promising.
