Exactly as magical said. First of all focus on getting your first server successfull. There're to much competition out there as for now.

I`d still say change the host instead. Get 2-3 hosts with 24-32 gb rams or something still will cost you less :) More hosts for more games as much as you wish. As you see said first a silkroad server then even one machine with 12GB Ram and one with 8GB will be enough. But the current machine is a total (useless) waste of money and ressources.

you're paying way too much for that setup, and more than 20gb ram is simply useless for a silkroad server, I would advise people to actually choose a server that is assambled for their needs, so you don't overpay for stuff you wont use.

I have mine with 8GB RAM, decent processor, 150GB HDD, 100mb/s connection. I ran 500 players online without laggs. and I don't think you'll gain more than 500 players tbh.

Yeah you think so? I'll continue working on these files, and fix the database, then i'll just run it on a 32gb next month or so.

You could start more then two servers, a Jade Dynasty private server with the Vengeance files(One of the newest) , a wow server,metin server,Perfect world etc. if you really want to keep the server.Donations would help you much .

Donations are the thing for me developing a server.
I never really wanted to, until many people told me to make one.
I can pay the host monthly no problem, not dependent on the donations.

It's the product that matters. If you make a server which has the exact features many people are looking you will get players. That's what PlaySRO, Dymer did. But the reason many servers keeps their playerbase around 500 is because they have been online for a long time so people stay there so their work wont get lost.
It's alot harder to be a new server in the market and attract players.
