**I can't speak for Private servers using custom versions or older versions with certain additions, but as far as NA/EU goes the way I manually would search GM is using hex/ascii "reference points".
**
I'll use NA for the example.

Added rough estimate of 2,000 to the address where you can see ascii reference points of text "force blader, novice, apprentice", you can also just search the alphabet in the hex. I haven't ever tried scanning on Private/earlier versions, but im assuming all the current ones you can use the reference point for.
You can see the Reference point below.

Using that reference point and knowing the current/older addresses you can roughly estimate how far away the GM address is from the reference point in general. This is not an accurate/exact method of scanning, its just the reference point I use myself to find, I don't know how others find it without scanning the hex/ascii. At the episode 8 update I just rough estimated and then checked each address I was changing with the /_1 command ingame, until I eventually seen the debug fx message.
The GM address for that reference point ss is 00F32F78, and the reference point starts at 00F30DF8 in the screenshot, adding 2000 to the initial reference point would bring me close to the GM value in memory. Its a crude way of scanning it really, and I'm just posting it because I get alot of pms asking how to find it manually, even though all the addresses are/have been public for a while now.
