[BETA] Private Server

We're back... for a while :)

We got a new temporary server until we can locate a permanent one.

Use this IP in your Server.dat
12.214.174.38

Some changes:
1. Items and money are put directly into your inventory.
2. You do not get Normal items from monsters after level 40.
We made some other changes as well, but too many minor changes to list.

We are still a leveling server.

The login msg does say that accounts will be wiped before open beta, but we will not wipe them unless we think the DATABASE is the cause of any problems. These accounts could be permanent!

All previous accounts were terminated. You will have to re-make any account you had with us previously.

Not such a good idea if you ask me, what if plvlers dont want the money and want the noobs to pick up items and such?! It wont be any fun for them then in making money, because trades would have to be used continually, unless they hunt by themselves and get money...which is a pain in the ass.

Less items on ground means less server load, less lag for players.

Its not hard to make money in our server. If noobs want money they can learn to do things for themselves instead of being beggars. If a friend wants to give someone money, they normally do it in a trade or drop it on the ground anyway...

Possible a team money share option could be put into effect though...

Also consider, if you want your money and to pick up your items, it's now impossible for some noob to camp/sit on the item.

That is an upside wit the camp/sit, except if you arent friends with the PLvLer for instance, then how can you make quick gold. Its always a good thing if you need like 5k to teleport to places and what not.

Then I guess it encourages people not to be noobs or lazy and learn how to do things for themselves. I see no fault in that :)

It does this allready :D You only get noraml junk drops early on to level 40 after that normals do not drop anymore..So all you will get in your inventory is money and special items as you stated above e.g. +1,blessed,ref,uni,eli,sup,db,met items will appear in your inv rather then on the ground for people to try and loot.

And if people need normal items they can simply buy them from the shops as they are all provided from lvl 10-120.And high levels will appreciate this because when your hunting at high level you don't wanna keep picking up everything then dropping it till ya finally find a +1 or good quality item and your sure as hell not going to run back and forth to npc to sell normals because usually by the time your higher level ya have enough cash you don't care about npc selling your junk..This is why it stops after lvl 40 to give noobies a bit of help getting some scratch money to spend later...After that they will have to work for there money not beg for it or loot it off others.:D

You've made a solid statement there, I cant fault that arguement.

I see that the implimentation of the lvl 40+ drops destroys the foundation of what I was putting accross.

You don't have permission to access /download/ on this server. Can some1 help? I need to play this XD and i'm not sure how to make it work :s (i read all that u posted, and i dont have experience on hamachi server's)
