That is what happens when it is not fully extracted and extracted with software that is not fully compatible.

7zip is free

So delete the addon and the files in the WTF folder and reinstall it.

When I launch with Zygor in Everlook, I'm getting " ...ygorGuidesViewerClassic\Libs\CallbackHandler-1.0\CallbackHandler-1.0.lua:90:unexpected symbol near `...' "

Also when launching with RXP I get " Interface\AddOns\RXPGuides\libs\AceEvent-3.0\AceEvent-3.0.lua:12-: unexpected symbol near `...' "

I don't know what I'm doing wrong :/

What did you extract it with? As most issues are caused by the wrong software extracting it and then part is extracted and not fully.

Extracted both with 7zip into the interface>addons folder.

I will try deleting and re-extracting both.

Is it the latest 7zip?

Delete the addon
Go to the WTF folder and look for the addon files and delete them

Reinstall and should be fine.

Seeing people mentioned 7zip before and claimed it was the latest. When it was 8 years old.

I downloaded the latest 7zip and tried 3 more times, unfortunately still getting the same red errors listed in my other comment.

I am using these on Everlook so 1.12, I should be using the classic downloads correct?

No you should use the Evelook one
You are using a private server. So you use the private server addon.

As they do not use Classic, they use Vanilla.

Ok thank you, however now I am getting different errors :/

Zygor gives me " ...s\ZygorGuidesViewerClassic\Code-Classic\Backdrop.lua:1: attempt to call global `CreateFromMixins` (a nil value) "

And RXP gives " ...e\AddOns\RXPGuides\HereBeDragons\LibStub\LibStu b.lua:4: attempt to index global `_G` (a nil value) "

The file is a .rar and I'm using winrar, BUT ---- yes, I downloaded it again, extracted from scratch, and indeed more guides did show up. So doing the whole thing again fixed it! Thanks for the tip, buddy :cool:

What one are you installing? As before you was trying to use classic on a vanilla server.
Instead of Everlook on Everlook.

I'm extracting Rxpguides Everlook.rar and ZC Release 1.1.25672 Everlook.rar into my addons folder. When I launch the game with one or the other I get those error messages.

I've tried on two separate computers now and same results.

Are you using the Everlook proxy? As that scales up the API.
If not, then it would not work.

Hello Zygor just got updated today to version 9.0.29063 to include the patch content. If you could please update the post here it would be nice. Thank you very much as always !
