hey guys i have been wondered how important is the video card in the build of a machine just to run these bots. because i have this 2600k, HD6950, 2x32gb ssd build and i check my gpu load with GPUZ and the load on the video card is only 30-40%, do the vms use videocards at all? is everything being processed by the cpu?

You have to change it on every single VM too, check if this works (it should).
You're wrong, and I have answered this question in a previous post a few pages back... you do not need to change it in every VM, otherwise why would that option be in the shared config?

Different servers have different coords, Right now, on NA it's 500 and 28, on Europe servers it's 450 and 28. Just set it to open of those, and look at your vms and if it clicks runes, but boost is the next below, add 50 to what ever you have, for instance if you have 450, and it clicks the option between, add 50 to make it 500... if it's the option above, then subtract 50, not very complex.

This is answered on the very first page of the forum. GPU quality is almost irrelevant, but the size is important. It's something like 18 vms = need at least 1 gb GPU, not 100% on that but it's something in that range.

Then why do my machines' graphic drivers crash every single night? I bought a 4GB GT 640 NVIDIA card, and it is just as unstable as the AMD 7770 I bought. They don't make a difference.

If you want to do that for free, I'd be more than happy.

Did you set your VMs to 25 FPS max? look at one of the games in progress and see if it is doing more than 25 fps. Regardless, if you have a 4gb graphics card and you're crashing, then you have something set wrong.

I actually noticed the other day that some of the VMs randomly set their video settings back to the default settings (which is way above the lowest possible settings) and this *might* be why.

does anyone here runs the bots the vm workstation in a linux host?

This isn't a thread for you to sell your "setup" service. If you want to do that, please create a new thread, you shouldn't be spamming this crap here.

Yeah, no. Not paying €15 for someone to redo my configs, lol

On topic, I converted one of my rigs to Windows 7 VMs, and for the first time in the past two months of using NHC... nothing crashed overnight. Meanwhile, my XP rig is still dying overnight. It should really be stated on page 1 that XP should not be used. Windows 7 just seems to work better overall with the hardware in the rig anyway.

How much ram are you guys using per win 7 vm?
12/20/2013 23:49 BoostingEasy#8640
8 gb for running 6 bots
