Yeah but literally anyone can claim that that happened to them and like you said you didn't even have proof so....why tell them?
I feel like if it's similar to BattlEye then you should've been banned by now, usually within an hour or after 2-3 games. Plus it's been an hour since you posted so I figured you're still going strong. :)Quote:
So question. I played 4 games today on a aged account ive had for a few months.
When do you figure that you are HWID banned?
Dude you would know lol.Quote:

I mean the game will auto close if you have a Hex editor open. They definitely have checks in place lol.Quote:
Activision response for my ban (INF usage):
"Your appeal has been reviewed and we've confirmed with our security team that your account has been permanently banned for using unauthorized software and manipulation of game data. As you were the account holder at the time of infraction, your ban will not be overturned.
To preserve the integrity of our security systems and detection methods, this is the only information our policy allows us to share regarding your case. This decision is final and your case is now closed. In case you are currently playing any other Activision titles and for future reference, please avoid any of these types of violations to keep your account in good standing.

They banned another one because I was using IDA (reverse engineering) or have visual studio.
The crazy thing is the IDA was just running (i forgot i had it on) and when MW closed automatically i realized they must do some checks there. At this point, they might think i'm a cheese developer
I wasn't using any cheese on that one 100%.
what's weird is I wasn't even debugging. Only looking at the static image (executable basically) and still the game shutdown.Quote:

Then theres the whole thing of its def possible to get permabanned instantly by injecting a detected piece of code.
Wish I knew what tripped off detections, for the Hex editor I guess they are looking at what else is open on your computer, obviously?

Edit: What did they say, if anything, about the second case where you're saying you weren't cheating but only had VS open?
OOOh more stuff for me to read about.Quote:

It's cheap checks I guess. If I was serious I'd load this up in a vm (linux for more native performance through KVM) so I can have infinite hwid ids they can clog their database with
They probably block virtual machines, just like Valorant and Siege and some other games and anticheats.Quote:

Activision is very incompetent so they flagged legit players and also missed ragers.Quote:
I thought the wording of CallofDuty's tweet was strange:
"A warning to cheaters: our new PC anti-cheat is coming and we’re dedicated to rooting out active and repeat offenders today.
Over 100,000 #CallOfDuty accounts were banned earlier this week, targeting repeat offenders and cheat providers at the source".
Does that mean those who have used cheats in the past and are inactive may have got away?
No they're just trying to sound like they're doing something, anything.Quote:

It's just fear-mongering, yeah they're going after some providers and spoofers, but the top cheats are undetected, and those targeted cheats will eventually update and be used again. There will always be a way around it.Quote:
