I think it would give problems when you population is almost zero and you only are allowed to train a few more. Also the current system is faster because it starts the training immediately when you have enough resources for one unit.

I must agree with @envi, and I had already said that in one of my posts. The maximum units queue is 7 groups of units at a time. If the bot tries to make a new unit just as soon as it has resources, then you risk flooding the recruitment queue, having almost no units being recruited and having your village full of resources at the same time!
I cannot use this functionality of your bot, or else that's what happens to me!
I always recruit large groups of units at a time, or else I flood the recruitment queues and get my warehouses full at the same time.
If you put an option to set the minimum units to recruit at a time, the problem will be solved. Casual players can set the minimum units to 1 at a time, and highly competitive players such as myself can put it to 25-50 at a time.
