Listen kangax and Gray Fox, kr1st0f1 posted his update at his 5th post in this forum and a hour after the bot stops woking... i think this is enough motive to get suspicious and play safe. If kr1st0f1 made the crack here are my thanks.

no, I thought about something else, everytime the sm gets cracked a few hours after the release it doesn't work anymore? Strange?
Well no, what if they have build in a sort off autochange IP for the softmod so that the ip (or whatever changes)and makes the cracked softmod unusable?
some sort of dynamic code? could be rather realistic, after every release of such a cracked version in some hours sm got screwed, so there must be a particular relation between this weird phenomenons... [/b][/quote]
few things wrong with this.
1. the last "crack" was just that someone found the temp00 login name for 0x33's softmod. Thats y just a few hours later it "didnt work" cause they simply just deleted that account.

2. this time is seems that not only has the ip been changed in the sm.dll file, but there was also a local ip in it 192.168.1.103 i think. Idk if that means anything, but i would think that someone made their own server at home and made it so they could connect over local network as well. This is just a theory of course, but i think that this person's server either crashed due to all the traffic or it is just off.

3. If it was a dynamic ip, then members of 0x33 would have to download a new softmod every day :)

We need to remove the 0x33 validation to make it work definitly...
Authenticate web server adress is located in the dll of softmod (i saw it in sm.dll, but it might be in softmod2.dll too), to change the server by one of ours, which say "ok, that's good, this login is correct" every time :D
Or better, remove validation, but it needs to decompile the dll and modify it in assembleur.... :s

That's the theory... In real life it'sa bit more difficult... :/

Those fuckers at 0x33 changed sm.dll again and blocked it.

This is crazy, it didn't last even a day.

It works for me but once I get disconnect or log off it won't.

Anyway, should we really change our password or is it "safe" so to say?
05/12/2007 20:14 DarkTwilight#7949
oke if i deleted those files can i change my password on this pc?
05/12/2007 20:14 Car2oon#7950
im not sure if this will help but my friend who pays for the 0x33 bot says that basically they implemented a security system that checks your zip code and you can nly play from that im not really sure though :(
