Well I don't really understand why majority quit after last FW. Just proves that other guilds beside PornTubbies and Pandora were pretty weak I guess, there were like ~75 of us in war (PT and Pandora summarized) and there were like 320 players total online which leaves you with roughly 250~ players to attack fortress. We defended it and 2-3 full guilds left, without even actually trying... It is actually funny how easily players gave up.Quote:
Yea the player count says it all..
Are you seriously believing that ? in those 250 players that were left people had their staller and other goldbot running or even 3 goldbots.Quote:

You are pretty stupid. The only guild that knew what was going on was Salvation, Pandora/PT didn't have a clue. The first FW was the first warning, yet they acted like 'lol we big union we krallz'. That doesn't work in a server like this. Wanna know the estimated amount of players attacking on the second FW? 20 at best. That's Salvation and our union.Quote:
But they still had equal chances.
I don't want to sound rude or anything but you seem to be living in another world or something... When you have a server with 3 IP limit, you can't honestly believe that it has 320 real, active players with a single character? I haven't done any research but from past experiences on this server and many others, I'd say there was at least 2 chars per player (a lot higher on a more active server because people strive to be the best & use proxies), that leaves you with ~150. 1/2 of them in your union, 1/4 of possible attackers, 1/4 randoms & low levels who are minding their own business.Quote:

Didn't even bother reading it all. Only PT and Pandora were in fortress war, no other unions.Quote:

Also, what happened to that turk guild ISTAKABL or whatever? Did they leave PT's union themselves or they got kicked out?
I'm asking because guess what? All of them quitted. Their old members that still wanted to give this server a chance made a new guild called Immortals. Only 2 players attented for the next FW: a glavier and a 9d wizzard.
All of this could have been avoided by disabling union after the first FW.
It's pitiful because this server wasn't bad at all, it could use some tweaks but you guys were too dumb to realize how fragile the union balance is in a server this small. We could have stayed, but there was no guarantee that you would learn this lesson, and also Silkroad 2 was around the corner, so we were going to leave either way. Now you learned the lesson the hard way. When I said 'You should thank Salvation for not killing the server' on the first FW I meant it, and now you know I was right all along.
And for those who don't know, Salvation got invited to PT/Pandora's union before the first FW. That's right, they were inviting the strongest guilds in a server this small. Salvation declined, because we knew the server would die the second we accepted the invitation. After the first FW it was evident that there was an union imbalance, we tried to show you and you kept laughing, shrugging it off as 'lol ur weak', etc. Second FW came and it got even worse, people quitted days before it and you retards still didn't learn anything from the first FW. That was pretty much the last straw and we left. Look at what happened.
tl;dr Players were slowly quitting after the first fw but what truly killed the server was PT/Pandora but not for being good at the game, they simply acted like turks and made the strongest 4/4 union in a server with 100 real players. Salvation leaving was the mercy kill.
P.S: We never lost a fight with equal numbers.
Off to sro 2, glbb.
F*ck dude... Hope you come back soon.Quote:
gl&hf im out... i just got my moon spear today but i will leave the srv sry... i wont stay for 70 player ;( ill be back if player number will be 200 250+ again. ty for fun
Immortals, Salvation and some other guilds could have competed with us. As I mentioned before there weren't even 80 of us in fortress. Anyway, I totally agree to the things you said. To be completely honest... some moderators don't even bother showing up after this last fw, they don't check forums nor make any notices. I understand them, they don't really care much now because server peaks at ~60 real players, that was a pretty quick rise and fall... Damn, this sucks...Quote:

Anyway, all this blabla is pretty pointless because this server did not have much future even if the unions were balanced from the start. Player count started declining as soon as Ortai patched their exploits. It just went down even faster due to the imbalance. I wouldn't go around saying that the whole downfall was caused by some not so smart guilds... that's not fair. :/
1. Poor advertising, for example, this thread disappeared for nearly 2 days just before launch, the most crucial time - many people spotted Ortai/other servers instead and there was no active discussion about Tyria because of this. 0 publicity ...unforgivable.
2. Timing, if the crew had done a little bit of research, they would have noticed that Ortai is going to open in 2 days after their planned date (if a more "popular" server is about to open, your best bet is to wait until their avg count starts to drop). Not only that but they opened in the middle of a week instead of weekend - that guarantees you less players right from the start. Player count on the first day is an important indicator of the server's quality for many people.
3. Unfinished touch, there were clearly many things on the server that weren't tested/tested enough and some really badly thought out stuff. Open beta is how you get happy customers and more importantly, more customers. To make them stick around without giving crazy advantage by letting them keep their chars, reward the accounts with silks.
I mean, c'mon... 1 page of parties on the first day, ~200 people and no organized groups joined the server. I saw a few guys log in who've been in the top guilds recently - all vanished during the first day because they know that servers hardly ever recover from a bad start... As a matter of fact, I never came across a server that recovered from a lousy start and went from low to high player count.

Nice job on putting effort on making a thread at forum to prevent this beforehand, if you saw a collapse coming why didn't you say anything and just kept waiting for it. Personally, I didn't think it was a good idea to keep default guild and union limits on a server with such amount of people but I didn't realise it would turn out this ugly... I am to blame too.Quote:
I'll take that as a 'Yes, you were right but I don't wanna admit it'. Ciao.
