Wanted to try something out.
Tried contacting A# via contact mail, didn't get back to me yet (it has been 6 hours at this point, but then again, this was an email) and their contact form on the website doesn't work :p
No official notice of supporting Cataclysm or Classic ERA as far as I could see. They don't seem active on EPVP either. If they get back to me, I will consider trying it out.
Thought about trying out RotationsLab. Their contact form doesn't work either :kekw:
Then I noticed the price. The list DID say they were overpriced but good god, a 100$/month? For that price I can hire a guy on Fiverr who will make and maintain a private bot.
Next down the list is MaxDPS Assistant. Personally, I play only Classic and only on PvE, so it seems like a perfect suit. And they have a FREE 24h trial? Sign me up
I contacted the guy on Telegram, he responded within a minute, which already would have been a gargantuan achievement that he responded at all. :mindblown:
The pricing is also insane. It's 5$ for a 1 spec (across all expansions) or 20$ for a whole pack?
Lastly, I contacted the guys from GGLoader. They did answer pretty quickly as well. And the response was more concise, which I did appreciate. Price is a bit high for entry, but the monthly cost of the loader is fine. However, that does not include the rotations. Third-party rotations must be purchased separately. Not sure as to their price. The guy doing the Cataclysm rotations says that level 85 rotations are only partially supported. I will probably try this one as well.
I do however have a question to you fine folks. How exactly does a bot for Healer rotations work? :thinking:
DPS is pretty simple, as it tries to maintain optimized rotations to achieve the highest possible DPS.
But the healer, sure, he does want to have high HPS, however that is easier said then done, as you need to actually pay attention to who you're healing, when and why.
And while I can maybe imagine a resto shaman or druid just having easier time when they can focus on movement and the bigger picture.
But then what about Holy Paladin, whose main heal is a cast?
