ok I got most of this working now but...in order to make it work fully I need a good data.pak file in the files you uploaded for us the data pak is messed up so if you could plz re up load I tried taking the data pak file out of dk extreme and fixing it to work with these files but that was a dead end stopped it from even being able to load and funny enof with no data pak in data folder I can get it to load up connect and login make char but when it comes time to load in game I get a black screen with message saying client version dose not match make's sense cuz all the data to for the game models ect would be in the data pak file. so silk or anyone who can help me with this issue I would be very greatfull

Check version.ini They must be same server/client ;)

Hello, i need finally good help with my pserver..
I have files from this topic, but still i have a problem with DB during connecting:

...OLE DB Provider for SQL Server: Invalid object name 'USER_CHARACTER'...
I have repaired several DB bugs, but I really don´t know what to do with this one. Please help me. Thank you

Well now... that was an epic fail from my side...
Tried to get it working but I couldn't do it after 5 days haha :)

I'll just wait for a vista-compatible solution (except vmware... failed on that one also, got everything to work but couldn't connect to the server... told me you can't connect to a virtual host :/)

Anyways: silkbotter great work you did here! Thanks for the release, maybe there's more coming? :)
And to the flamers crying that there's no tutorial: Just show a little more appreciation my god, the tutorials will come with the time!

@kindland: as for your question, there are other solutions. Even thought hamachi is the easiest one I guess. Since you probably have a dynamic ip adress (means your provider disconnects the connection every 24 hours to change the ip adress), it would be useless to use your wan-ip (internet ip - since it changes to another one every 24 hours :P). I'm not sure but theoretically using a no-ip adress would also work. Just go to google and look for "No-IP", the first entry is the homepage. If I'm wrong and that doesn't work correct me please guys. And just as a tip: when you choose your no-ip adress choose a short one, for example "xxx.no-ip.biz" since you otherwise will have problems putting a too long adress into data.pak and the connect client. Hope that helps
