[RELEASE] Secure PHP Web Registration Script

03/07/2011 00:49 patoringa#61
Hi guys.

I need help here.

Today one player make 3 GM Account.
I use this script.
I wondered if it was the script or SQL injection.
I took a page from the air and kick the user.
After 1 hour I realized that he could not create other accounts.
That failure of the script he used to create this account? I need to give a protected page.

Thx all.

A lot of people seem to be having trouble with "Cannot insert NULL into column UserUID".

In order to fix this you need to set the UserUID column to be the identity column. To change it right click on your Users_Master table and select design, highlight the UserUID column, and change it to look like:

Only one column in table can be the identity column, so if RowID or another column already has it, you must remove it

Check my signature and take some lessons.
I learned almost everything from here and I googled the rest.

If you don't wanna use your brain you would never solve any problems which can occur when you're running a server.

So do NOT be lazy!

Hi all!! When I try to register, I press create account and my website opens a blank page with written "Warning: mssql_connect() [function.mssql-connect]: Unable to connect to server: 127.0.0.1 in C:\xampp\htdocs\teos.com\db.php on line 3
Failed to connect to MSSQL Server." Is it a problem with db.config.php? What should I write in $db_host?

It sounds like you gave it the wrong credentials to connect to your database, or your database is not set up to allow TCP/IP connections.

Do you have SQL Server set up on the same PC as your XAMPP?

yes, the same pc... For set up the server I used "[Video Tutorials] Shaiya EP4 Private Server By Omega"...

Now I've just changed something and when I click create account, Apache crashes!
AppName: httpd.exe AppVer: 2.2.12.0 ModName: ntwdblib.dll
ModVer: 2000.80.194.0 Offset: 0001f15a

I've tried 100 times to set up my reg page and I always get an error. My current error is Fatal error: Call to undefined function mssql_connect() in C:\xampp\htdocs\register.php on line 49 But my credentials are correct for MSSQL login...

First I had an error with 'C:\xampp\php\ext\php_mssql.dll - the specified module could not be found' and I got the dll and put it where it said it needed to go. But now my apache won't start properly. And when I do get it to start I get the above error. Someone please help me... I don't know what else to do.

Google usually helps for that issue, it did for me.

Anyways, you need to enable the function by uncommenting the line - extension=php_mssql.dll - by removing the ; from in front of it. After this, restart your apache services, and it /should/ work.

I already enabled it. I read through the forums and googled long before I posted here.

Edit: Now my Apache services refuse to start at all. -sigh- I'm not lazy, I'd rather google than ask for help, but in this case Google isn't cutting it, and I really have no clue what I'm doing wrong.

Sorry if that came off rude, I wasn't trying to be. I'm just not that great at explaining things. =/

For Apache services, I can't help, I have never used Apache, nor have I tried to, I've always used IIS that's built into a lot of Windows versions. If it's not too hard, maybe reinstall it, and do the changes once more?

Or maybe someone else could help more, I wouldn't know if Apache had an error log or what for it's services.
