you cant use an ep5 database for an ep4 server
1. you wont have the correct skills
2. many things were changed in ep5 from ep4 so you'll have a lot of errors
its hard to run an ep4 server now because the proper files are hard to find =/
and the on for 30 sec then off..sounds like you might have done something wrong when setting up the server o.O i dont know i could be wrong

if i restore back ep4 data base the server works perfectly so if it wont work in a ep4 server witch server files i have to use???

Hello guys,uhm any of you got a clue of the full size for the Database? i'm not sure if i'm getting it all since i get some wrongs into it,there will always be an error and i dun wanna fck up my server once again... thx in advence !

eeeh hallo Shaiya Xtreme ((: so ich hätte ne frage .. wenn ich die database ersetzt und so habe also auf ep5 zocken will kommt wenn ich egal was für n skill lernen will "unable to learn this skill" oder so... ja könntest du mir pls sagen why das so ist? und vlt. falls du mir dabei helfen kannst das du mir sagst wie man die level erhöht z.b. das ich lvl 80 habe und so..?

Benutz die Suchfunktion alle Fragen sind hier im Forum beantwortet oder wenn du das mit Level80^^ nicht hinbekommst es gibt ein Release hier im Forum mit Level 75 ;)

You don't need a video to "install" the databases....thats the most simple thing to know when you use SQL...

1-Open SQL Server Managment Studio
2-Right click on "DataBases" and "Attach"
3-Look for your database files
4-Now click on "Add" and look for your DataBase Files
5-Add all the DataBase Files needed
6-Press the "OK" button and wait for all the databases to get attached

Simple, isn't it?

You are not showing the error it gave, if you wanted to show the exact error you would've clicked on the link next to the db you tried to attach.

Also, you do not attach the "Master", "model", "msdbdata" :facepalm: the ones you need are:

PS_Billing
PS_Chatlog
PS_GameData
PS_GameDefs
PS_GameLog
PS_GMTool
PS_StatData
PS_UserData

Not to undermine you or anything.. but the only databases you need are:

PS_Billing
PS_Chatlog
PS_GameData
PS_GameDefs
PS_GameLog
PS_UserData

StatData has no immediate use that I noticed, probably was used for website data. GMTool is not needed UNLESS you make use of the GMTool.exe - Which in my opinion, you shouldn't. It'd require massive rewriting of that entire database to make use of it.
