after few troublesome days I now have time to react here too. I would like to give an answer to problems mentioned here:
1. Bugs / Concept
First of all, we had our beta for a long time, but sadly its hard those days to get hundred of players to play a beta. The feedback coming back from the community after the start was a lot different then the feedback from our beta community, which was way smaller naturally. I dont want to blame the beta players, they helped us a lot, after all we invented this concept and after months working at it we didnt notice the flaws it had.
Every concept needs development, development comes with live servers. No big server online right now had a perfect concept right from the beginning, specially if its his first release. I am talking a lot with the community, trying to be open to every opinion and to find a way to make at least most of the people happy. The suggestion to take it offline and work at it again in a beta/closed development is something not working, the concept has his errors is because it was only tested so far in beta and closed development. I need the feedback of the community, otherwise I cannot improve the server.
For the bugs:
Some of them were known to us, alot wasnt. Thats another point, for example nobody at the beta thought about trying the empire change, in the end there was just a "0" missing, but yeah it was missing and that way it bugged. Things like that happened at a lot of places, which we are working through now.
Maybe we shouldnt have done big updates like 64 bit, python3 and lot of other stuff, things would have been easier but I dont want to make a easy server, going only just making money and good bye. My goal was to create not a copy of another server, like most server do. I want to do my own and this leads to an hard way through lot of bugs, working days and getting blamed for lot of stuff.
Everyone here complaining about the bugs is absolutly right and has every right to do so, thats why we are asking about reports and trying to fix them asap.
I am sorry that there was so much unseen after the beta, it was my mistake, the same with the free2play gameplay, I forgot to force beta players to play without itemshop too. This is on me and thats why I am trying to fix it.
2. Itemshop
The itemshop isnt as hard as people describe it. There is no mount for 50€. You could buy an perm. mount + pet for 50€ at the start, which we already adjusted, the price is ~35€ now for mount+pet.
Same with dews, you can easily get all dews ingame in a temporary version and if you want to farm more, you can farm the perm versions too. Its not a itemshop only feature, the itemshop safes time thats all.
All in all, we still good few hundred players playing at the same time, its not just bad, the server has his potential and we are a hard working team trying to do all changes asked for.
