I've recently had a few people message me about their attempts at restoring episode 3 content so I've taken some time to restore my episode 3 emulator from early alcadia.

Keep in mind that this version is missing hundreds of bug fixes and QoL changes that were added in the following years.

You can find files and instructions in the first post.

Note: If someone has the latest alcadia client from around 9 Nov 2017, please share.

can it be that the backup file (2017-11-08T14-00-00.bak) is corrupted? it gives me strange errors when im trying to restore the database.

Usually it'll say "WARNING: errors ignored on restore: 5" at the end and still succeed despite the errors.

You can also add -c right after pg_restore for a clean restore in case you're restoring an already populated database.

when im connecting to server the client says waiting for response and hangs in there. the server console tells me onconnect but nothing happans.

whats the right port for the cmd exe command is it 11008?

im stuck at this point.

You need to run two servers, game_server.exe and login_server.bat, which just calls game_server.exe with --login option.

By default login server port is 11002, which is what you want to connect with client.

So if you've set your server IP to 192.168.1.5 and didn't change the login port, you need to run client with:
.\alefclient.exe /L192.168.1.5:11002

When your game server connects to your login server, you'll see a message like: OnConnect | 192.168.1.35:48098
When your client connects to your login/game servers, you'll see a message like: OnConnect (2301A8C00000BCE2)

also you cant buy/repot pots at merchant because of x100 stacks the client only recognices x99 stacks.
