Anyway, good luck!
Can anyone of you guys who claim they promised new fundamental gameplay changes bring some proof atleast? For me it just seems like hating since I never got promised anything like that.

From the beginning it was pretty clear that there won't be big changes in features and gameplay and if you can't read and understand english and get disappointed and cry about it, you just make an idiot out of yourself.
From the beginning Shogun said the following:
"WoM3 will have a FEW but fundamental differences that would make a later merge impossible."
"Characteristics of the game that would have been impossible to change on a live, running server without creating a major disruption to the players such as, for example, the excessive stacking of skill resistances, or the existence of the vouchers, will be altered, something we wanted to do a long time ago."

For me it was pretty obvious from the beginning that it will be quite similar with WoM and I don't get why so many people interpret such things in Shogun's post. Even more since he said in the same text:
"The current server, Aurora, will continue running as it's been till now, and there will be some changes made to it as well. We are considering turning it into an Easy server or using it for live testing of the updates (BY RELEASING CONTENT EARLIER HERE), similar to how the Metin2 Korea servers worked back in the day."
So actually it was already confirmed that WoM2 and 3 will have the same updates and it's just logical that they will also have the same content in this case...

So anyone who reads this thread don't get influenced by those haters and you shouldn't believe that Shogun makes false promises, that's for sure not the case and wasn't in all my years on WoM.
Just get your own picture of the server and don't give a damn what anyone writes here, including the positive posts it will speak for itself when you try it.

Edit: @[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] @[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] I can't speak for WoM3 but on WoM2 you craft Rune and other 90-105 pvm weapons from earth dragon stuff and 90 map drops and can transform those into the pvp version of the 90-105 weapons (those pvp weapons doesn't have demi-human as a set bonus but skill damage so it isn't a problem to get demi on them), while sirius is quite useless on this server anyways and nothing I would recommend going for. I guess this will stay the same but I don't know for sure obviously.

When you're rebranding your product, most people expect fundamental changes, otherwise just patch. And by the way, I was never toxic about the wom3 project. Just saying that me, as an individual, wanted more stuff going on from such a widely known team. Their project just did not excite me. I mean, even in his forum announcement, he's fooling around with the merge idea (making sure that there won't be any) not even sticking to the good points of the presentation. Didn't make enough sense in my mind

If you don't want to be called toxic then don't be toxic. If you expected something else that's your right and no one will force you to like it, but lying and talking about being promised something that was never planned is just flaming and spreading wrong information that could damage the reputation of the server that's why I wanted to clarify some things please don't take it personal.

Furthermore the post in the WoM2 forum was no real presentation, as you can see at the lack of information he gave there. Since it was posted in the WoM2 forum it's also only logical that he mentions the merge aspect since it would influence WoM2 directly and every WoM2 player would ask if it happens after the announcement anyways.

By 'as promised' in my first post, I meant to say that (as he says), many have been waiting for this announcement and he's going like balls-deep and in the end we are shown a superfisial product in my opinion.
Either way, I shouldn't have said 'as promised'; was misleading.

We patched the hell out of it. We introduced the Seasons concept. Look to the WoM2 thread and the last dozen pages. We made big updates, way more extensive than virtually any other server in this forum. Guess what, nobody cared. Nobody is commenting on them, all you will see is "open a new server".

We ignored those comments for a long while dismissing them as the typical server jumpers. Yet when I comes to a point where you have more people asking for the fresh start than playing the server then it's time to reconsider your position.

Now, if you had played WoM2 you'd understand that the biggest issues with the current state of the game were the high level players dominating PvP. Part because of the age of the server, part because of the stacking of skill damages and resistances. Both issues are taken care of, one with the fact that it is a new server, and the other by altering the default bonuses.

The Season2 Update (implemented in WoM2 months ago) also made it much easier to get to the higher levels and build your low level equipment quickly.

Moreover we did open once, years ago, a second Global server, which was a big success at the beginning but lost players pretty fast, and the biggest issue pointed out, was the vouchers which made it way too easy to "buy" your way into the game. So we are removing these as well.

When I talk of fundamental changes I talk of changes like the exp requirement curve (season 2), the default bonuses and so on. These are fundamental in that changing these in a running server creates a big disruption. When I talk of fundamental, I don't mean that you're getting a horse with wings when you start, or that we are turning WoM in a newschool server.

Because, people were not complaining about the concept or the content. WoM is a very polished and finished product which has been in development for more than 6 years. People were complaining about not being able to catch up. And this also gives us a chance to undo the wrong game design decissions. So everyone is happy.

But with the new boni system the high level players will dominate once again, because lowlevel players can never reach the same boni on their eq like the highlevel players. Correct me if i`m wrong, but there is a conflict in that statement.

That's true but overall the difference in players strength in PvP won't be so big because we are removing some PvP bonuses from the high level equipment.

The difficulty of fighting level 105s in wom2 is not in the bonuses they might add in their gear it's mostly in all the skill, magic att/def bonuses they have on their gear by default.

peace

Let me give you guys some quick info about this fiesta :
- New server will not include anything the players really asked for.
- They open the new server because the other is dead.
- Server has bugs that even 2004 metin had (attack speed bug, shaman running bug).
- Multi account abusing is MANDATORY, you don't want to play metin with 5 windows, forget it.
- WP and Body are the only viable pvm classes.
- They "balance" pvp but would of been better doing nothing.
- DT is worse than retail metin (Yes you read it right).
- Developers don't care about people's opinion, or what they want. People are begging for removing alchemic changers but they won't do it.
- They are downright disrespecful with suggestions.
- There are 2 entirely new maps instead of 3, which is a complete clusterfuck
- Server isn't really pay to win but you can buy your way to top with enough cash.
- High level maps don't have enough metins, you wander hours in an empty field.
- You HAVE TO make a low level farmer since on high level you can only earn yang via multi account abusing.
This is only from the top of my head, peace out.

Tut mir leid mann kann es zweideutig verstehen ich meinte damit nicht das ich hardcore metin2 will sondern eher so wie vor 2-3 oder 4 jahren auf WoM2

There's already a 2009 server -literally-, and nobody is playing it.

After 6 years of trying the best for the old server. Other Admins start servers every 6 months.
- Server has bugs that even 2004 metin had (attack speed bug, shaman running bug).
- WP and Body are the only viable pvm classes.
So you already played the new server?

I dont get your point I guess.

It is like my whole world stopped without 3 new maps. No point of continue living.
- Server isn't really pay to win but you can buy your way to top with enough cash.
Like every server?
- High level maps don't have enough metins, you wander hours in an empty field.
As I already asked: You already played?
