SuperVindictus(privateServer with Hamachi)

Ba, stupid website session expiration. I had it all typed out and lost it.. Gotta retype it again..

Im using Windows 8 (on laptop), and i already got the mod situation fixed. I was using the Player_costume to add in armor replacers. So i'm good with the mod situation. But now ANOTHER problem cropped up and i have no idea how to fix it.

Basically, considering how gathering materials to craft armor and weapons can be a tedious task at times depending on what you're making on the official server (even worse on a private server with a VERY small population), i've always liked to dual-screen on vindictus (one character on laptop, with 2nd on desktop). So after some technical difficulties with the download files being corrupted and having to re-download it, i got the game set up and running on desktop, however when i started it and got to title screen on desktop, my game on the laptop disconnected back to title screen with the error message, "Response from server delayed. Please try connecting later. We apologize for the inconvenience." you know, that typical error. (i was returning to town from a mission i abandoned because i forgot to equip spears like a dumbass). So i decided to close both clients, start up laptop, i was able to connect just fine on laptop. Started desktop, clicked start game, put in ID and Pass, hit ok, a few moments later, same 'delayed' error message.

I tried closing down both clients, loading up desktop only, this time the error message was instant after hitting ok. I cant for the life of me get my desktop connected. And i'm in Hamachi too (server 5 i think). Laptop can still connect (server 3).

Edit: Oh yeah, your previous comment was asking about windows 10. My desktop is using windows 10, yes. But my desktop isnt attempting to use mods. Its just your server.. vanilla. I downloaded your game, extracted it, downloaded the SQL folder, put it in the directory (same place i did on laptop), then replaced the hfs file in there thinking i needed to do that), then i launched the "Start_EU.bat" file, got to title screen, and that's when it happened. Wondering if i did something wrong.

Edit 2: So when i clicked the "server" button on the title screen, the "supervindictus" option isnt there. It was on laptop, so for some reason desktop isnt finding it.

If you didn't see my server on your list
Either you haven't connected to my Hamachi's networks or you didn't used the SQL folder I've provided. Caused I test both on my PC and laptop too. They all connected without any problems.
Did you said, you were using the hfs database too? I included it just incase someone knows the first method of reading\bypassed modified hfs.
Please check again make sure your heroes.db3 from SQL folder is the ones from mine not from the downloaded OneDrive.

Well, i honestly dont know HOW the hell that happened, but apparantly it was the SQL folder. for some odd reason, when clicking the "Server" button on the title screen, it was empty for both desktop AND laptop. Desktop couldnt connect but laptop could. I figured, since you said it was either Hamachi or your SQL folder, i'll re-download your SQL folder because i'm obviously connected to Hamachi. Then i noticed you updated your SQL folder, and i was thinking, "YES! update! this is a real good sign!" after updating (and desktop freezing on me; wut -.- ), i noticed that my currently SQL folder on desktop didnt have the readme file. That seemed odd. So i dropped the new SQL folder in, beelined my way to the title screen, and checked server list. The server was there. So i updated SQL on laptop too, so i'm in now.

So now the only problem now is getting my desktop character up to speed on the main story where my laptop is (not a problem though, my laptop character is only on the first stage of hoarfrost hollows; spent too much time troubleshooting)

Anyway, long story short. I'm good to go for now. As a suggestion, since this community is so small, we should focus on friending everyone in our friends lists. FRIEND ME!

Edit: Also, i noticed that some quests have given the 500% gold boost, but others didnt. Do only certain kinds of quests give the 500% gold boost?

Edit 2: I also noticed that the Equillibrium 30 day sword sold by fergus requires lv 70 to use. I dont know if that was an overlook or not (Arisha sword)

You can start a guild and recruit players. As far as I know all private server does not work with ADD friends yet :(

I do plan on starting a private guild so i can transfer items back and forth between my mains and storage containers (bankers). But i have a sneaking suspicion that there currently isnt a way to obtain guild storage slots is there?

is it possible to add in an item for guild storage slots to an npc for purchase? or is guild storage an impossible dream?

Also, i could be wrong, but i dont think i'm getting gold from the battles. Every time i finish a stage, the gold rewards are always greyed out. At first i assumed because i was outleveling the stage as i ended it, but when i finished "Source of the Rumor", i didnt outlevel it yet. So i should have gotten gold out of it, but i still didnt get any. So i'm wondering if that's something else that needs to be addressed with the private servers. I suppose getting 5x gold from quests kinda makes up for it. But in the end, quests are limited, but running stages for gold (at high levels obviously) or infinite. So i guess the only way to make gold is to keep making alts at this point once you run out of quests.

While I really like that we can use the NA client on your server, the really low population will likely end up proving to be the killing blow as higher level content is simply impractical to solo right now.

I fully agree with this. that's why we'll need to come up with a means of communicating with who's on so we can coordinate and run high end content together. So far i've only seen about 2 or 3 regulars at the moment.

Edit 1: Oh, is it possible to add the Lucky Ice Cube to an NPC's list? Its got a chance at goddess graces, dye amps, and the twinkling armors. And of course some avatar sets that's already available in the avatar shop, but thankfully they're rare.

If I remember right, only battle quests above 20 level give gold rewards. So basically you should start getting gold starting with Ainle.

Totally right, the snowy battle quests give golds too.
I will add those soon, kinda busy with RL stuff here and there.
To implement cash items to stranger traveler might requires where he is on the databases. Because Ferghus is a lot easier to find.

I wouldnt mind if that avatar set is delayed by a bit, i think storage chest expansion tickets would be a much higher priority over extra avatar sets because people are going to run out of storage space soon. And in my case, i would prefer someway to unlock the guild storage slots so i can transfer items to and from my banker alts without having to blow gold on transfers using the mailbox. It may not seem like alot of money at first, but for a packrat like me, with the insane amount of items i'm constantly stashing away on my bankers (mostly crafting materials), its a MASSIVE gold sink.

And with the shortage of people and usage of the marketboard, keeping what items i find is much more important now then before. That also means if someone needs to buy something that isnt available on marketboard, i'll be your go-to guy. Since i tend to stash away alot of stuff. Though right now, i haven't even made my banker alts yet, so i cant start stashing.

Yes, your are right, next updates will have those items sale at strange traveler or Ferghus for sure.

Not good? You are trying to ping my host? I don't know what you want to do there.
Since you have a good high speed connection would benefit players with Host Boats haha. This MMORPG is mostly depends on peer-to-peer connections. Until my host have reached to its limit caps then we all will feel lagging in towns.
