This player window is a nice addition, if you're up to it, I have a few ideas you can checkout:
Idea 1 - Player window background colors
Make the background color on the health bars in player window the same color as their dots on the minimap? Like allies get green health bars and enemies get red ones, player colors could also employ the same thing. This would make it more easy to tell enemies from allies in the window at a glance.
Idea 2 - Player window combat status
Having some visual indicator on player window slots to show if specific players are in combat or not would be cool, if possible that is. Providing you can fetch combat status, you could add a letter O somewhere next to health numbers that could change to an X when they are in combat.
Idea 3 - Player window name sorting based off direction/other
Some way of sorting the names in window based off who you're looking closest, say 4 enemies are around you, 2 in front of you and 2 behind, the ones in front of you would be listed higher up then the ones behind you. Preferably it would be pretty awesome if you could find out the x y z of all nearby players and sort by distance but I seen you already mentioned you couldn't.
Idea 4 - Player boxes / esp
Another idea that crossed my mind, it would be helpful to see some sort of onscreen marker/esp for enemies, sometimes its not always easy to tell if they are above or below you. I seen stuff like player boxes drawn around characters or name tags that are shown through walls. Maybe this is too much work? Would be nice to have though.
