my udobot 4.0.1 logs in fine but it still reloads so it can't fly properly - for example on 1-1

that's ok. i'm doing gates on leonov(newb account with 130k shields) now) Alpha no problems, beta too.

Every login you get new sid. You must search it every new login. Is the Map right?

Ok, here's a little guide for making gates on a phoenix with no equipment
You need:
1) opened GG with 1+ lives
2) some ship with 1+ hit points
3) a bit of brain and hands
So, first you just login to udobot 4.0.1 in x-1 map of your company
If you can not, then look the third requirement
After logging on, click rmb(right mouse button) on the gate u want to make and choose "Jump" option
Then wait. Until an error of gate completion appears

P.S. your ship shuoldn't move. If it somehow moves away from center, be sure that you DO NOT have ->File->"Started" checkbox checked AND also you can always command your ship to fly to the center.

I did all the gates on a phoenix that way and took no damage

Nice,But sometimes npcs shooting the phoenix or other ship type. I go to gg with leonov and i died because NPC's was shooting me.
